You want to have your closest friends and family at your wedding, so you probably can’t imagine saying “I do” without your best friend.
Even if your bestie has four legs and is covered in fur.
Including your pet in your wedding can seem like a challenging, stressful experience, but it doesn’t have to be! Making sure you choose the right venue (and hire the right help) can make all the difference.
Whether they’re going to be the ring bearer, the flower girl, or simply pose for portraits, your pet needs to be happy and comfortable and have a designated handler the day of your wedding.
Understanding your wedding venue’s rules is crucial since some won’t allow pets on the premises. Luckily, finding a pet-friendly wedding venue in Tampa Bay isn’t as hard as you think. In fact, you’ll probably find it difficult to narrow down the options!
We’ve enlisted the expertise of wedding pet planners Fairytail Pet Care to share their favorite wedding venues to work with. Not only do these locations welcome pets, but they love them and go out of their way to accommodate their needs!
This space is such a charming and unique spot. Their courtyard is magical, and while your pet would be perfectly content spending the entire time here, they are allowed inside to relax in the air conditioning as well!
This unique downtown Tampa venue is located in the heart of downtown, features a bank vault that makes for a unique bar or cake table room, and the Riverwalk just minutes away! Our favorite part though? As long as you have a designated handler for your pet, they are welcome to join in the celebration!
We just love this beautiful waterfront venue located just minutes from the airport! This is a great spot to host your wedding weekend and give your guests a taste of Tampa Bay. They’ll even allow your pet to attend, as long they have a designated handler for the day.
The Secret Garden at Paradise Spring
Paradise Spring is a private estate that will likely check off all of the items on your “ideal venue” list: gorgeous outdoor ceremony and reception space, overnight accommodations, beautiful natural landscapes, and tons of new smells and areas to explore for a curious pup!
To say that this hotel is simply pet-friendly is an understatement. If you’re looking to not only include your pet in your wedding and also pamper them, this venue is the paw-fect choice! The Don CeSar not only allows pets in the hotel and on the beach, but they adore their furry guests.
The Don offers a special pet room service menu and dog massages by a professional canine massage therapist.
We love working at this pet-friendly hotel! Their breathtaking rooftop is the perfect spot for an intimate ceremony or a beautiful cocktail hour after a beach ceremony. Even if your pet won’t be joining in the wedding celebration, they are still invited to stay in one of the hotel’s guest rooms!
Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club
This venue offers all the panoramic, tropical views you want for your St Pete Beach wedding, while also remaining incredibly private & intimate. They are also very welcoming of pets joining in the celebration & our ‘dogs of honor’ always enjoy exploring the property!
Postcard Inn on The Beach
If you want a beautiful beachside venue that is also pet friendly, Postcard Inn may be the ‘pawfect’ choice! You can really have it all at this venue. You’ll be located right on the beach with a beautiful garden courtyard for your ceremony or cocktail hour/reception. After the wedding, your guests won’t have to go far because they have guest rooms just steps away!
Westshore Yacht Club
Westshore Yacht Club is incredibly accommodating and a great place to host all of the events for your wedding! All of our “Dogs of Honor” love exploring the neighborhood and catching the sunset over the marina.
Harborside is one of the few wedding chapels that truly welcomes pets to be a part of the ceremony. We love all the natural light in the chapel and the location in Safety Harbor is just perfection!
Just as most of the businesses in Hyde Park Village are pet-friendly, so is one of the newest venues in the area.
Ilana Karcinski and Kelly Maronpot have been best friends since they were thirteen. They met in middle school and instantly bonded over their love for animals.
They founded FairyTail Pet Care, after graduating from Florida State University and starting their careers with Hilton Hotels. It was during their time there that they realized this need for couples getting married that really spoke to them.
Couples wanted to include their pets in their special day, but it was just too stressful! Caring for animals is second nature to Ilana and Kelly, so combining this with their hospitality background made for the perfect business concept!
Fairytail Pet Care takes care of every last detail so that your best friend doesn’t miss out on your special day!
