Meet John Scroggins
John Scroggins brings over 30 years of experience in the live entertainment and events industry. Throughout his career, he has worked with renowned organizations including Holland America Line, Celebrity Cruises, Walt Disney World, and Caesars Entertainment in Las Vegas, among others.
In 2017, John was honored with the Rising Star Award by the Atlanta event industry and has been an active member of leading professional organizations such as NACE, ILEA, WIPA, and MPI Georgia.
His diverse background spans every aspect of the wedding and events world, from planning and catering to performing as a wedding band lead singer, providing him with a uniquely well-rounded perspective.
John has been with Sandpearl Resort for the past four years and is proud to serve as Director of Event Management, where he is passionate about delivering exceptional experiences alongside an outstanding team at one of Florida’s premier beachfront resorts.
Meet Jojo Baker
Jojo Baker was born and raised in the Clearwater area and graduated from the University of Central Florida’s Rosen College of Hospitality Management in 2019 with a degree in Hospitality Management. Her career has taken her through restaurants, country clubs, and luxury resorts, building a strong foundation in guest service and creating memorable experiences.
Jojo has been with Sandpearl Resort for the past five years, starting as Pool and Beach Manager before transitioning into Catering and Events, where she has spent the last two and a half years helping bring celebrations to life.
Outside of work, Jojo loves Hot Pilates, playing golf, being by the pool, and spending time with friends and family. I’m also a big reality TV fan and a total dog lover!
