What We Love About Whitehurst Gallery
The Whitehurst Gallery is nestled on a 5 acre plot in a residential area of Tarpon Springs, FL. As you arrive to the estate grounds you are immediately captivated by the Gallery’s neoclassical architecture inspired by the Jefferson Memorial in DC.

What Couples Love About Our Venue
Couple at the Whitehurst Gallery absolutely LOVE the feeling that they are at one of the most unique estates in all of Tampa Bay. It has both the feeling of grandeur and cosiness all in the same building. The first floor Great Room and Front Foyer have a distinguished and timeless elegance with a bit of historical charm. Contrasty, the 2nd floor “residential” wing of the building provides an element of warmth and comfort. Although, one of the main features couples love most is the outdoor rooftop pool deck that leads up to the third floor deck, providing a 360 panoramic view of the property.

The Ceremony
We recommend to all of our clients having their ceremony featured on the front steps of the Whitehurst Gallery. The backdrop of the stunning Neoclassical architecture provides INCREDIBLE pictures of the big moment. Wedding parties for both are able to line up on either side descending down the stairs creating the perfect focal point for the happy couple. Your guests will be comfortably seated in ghost chairs down the central walkway facing the Gallery. Exterior power outlets allow for a PA system for amplification for the officiant. And don’t forget the harpist!
The Cocktail Hour
Cocktail hour by the rooftop pool? Why not!? Spill out onto the pool deck for a dramatic cocktail hour. This outside area is the perfect space to gather for a cool beverage while photos are being taken. Lounge by the water or even take a walk up the stairs where you can enjoy a 360 panoramic view of the property, the beautiful tree line, and the sunset.
The Reception
Dine in style in the “Great Room” featuring a library spanning the entire interior wall of the 2nd floor balcony (visible from the ground floor). As you look up, the domed ceiling features the same detail as you would see in the capitol building in Washington, DC. Marble statues, antique victrolas, and turn of the century artwork are featured in the front foyer, creating an elevated experience and area to stretch your legs during the reception. For those who wish to have acoustic music during the reception, the Whitehurst Gallery is home to a world class 10′ concert grand piano – Blüthner – by request only. Seating for 75 is very comfortable in the Great Room and still provides an area do “get down” while the music plays on!

We wanted a wow factor for our guests, but we also wanted it to feel inviting, warm, and unique. We wanted the option to be indoor or outdoor in case of bad weather, and we didn’t want it to be too far from our home.
We have always loved Tarpon Springs and downtown Dunedin, so when Whitehurst Gallery was an option for our venue, we knew we were more than likely going to fall in love. The moment we saw it, both John and I were stunned by how gorgeous it was. What sealed our decision was when we did a walk-through with Griffeth Whitehurst, and we saw how much love and intent was put into creating this gorgeous space. Every piece of art, every book in the library, and every chandelier had a story.
There was so much love, creativity, and hard work that was put into creating the Whitehurst, and we knew it was the perfect place for us to gather our families to celebrate our marriage.
After we left the walk-through, I cried because I knew we’d finally found what we never knew we were looking for.
