“Best of” 2021 Wedding Receptions: Part 2

Vibrant, Tropical Outdoor Wedding | St. Pete Pier

“The wedding inspo was tropical, bohemian, funky, and bold.Initially, we were going to do all white and green with pops of blush, but one day I was talking to our wedding planner, and I said ‘Would It be totally crazy if we did something different with the flowers? Instead of green and white, we do all of the colors?' Then, with the inclusion of a tropical explosion color palette, we were able to play with everything having a funkier, less formal vibe. Capturing the beach vibes with the colors was a major pivot about two months out, and we were so happy we did! Our wedding palette was a tropical explosion, orange, pink, red, yellow, green, all of the vibrant tropical colors. Even though this is where we live, we wanted this to be like a destination wedding for our guests.” -The Bride

Romantic Blush Pink Rustic Wedding | Covington Farm

“I wanted soft romance with our colors, candles, and natural wood everywhere and letting the natural beauty of the venue shine through. My dream color palette was always blush pink, light grey, and greenery, with romance everywhere. I am obsessed with pink, and they felt so natural and romantic and truly just spoke to me.We looked specifically for a barn wedding venue that felt like you were transported out of Florida! The whole experience of the wedding was very unique, not many of my friends or family had ever been to a barn wedding. We incorporated our personalities into our wedding with small details everywhere you looked. We wanted our guests to be reminded. ‘Oh hey, we're at Zach and Megan's wedding!' Our signature drink was named after our cat, ‘The Jameson.' We also had signature cocktail cups and koozies. We incorporated a wine ritual into our ceremony since we are both winos! We tried to incorporate little details everywhere from being greeted by a champagne wall the moment guests got off the bus to #knechted hashtag signs (a play on our last name) on display.” -The Bride

Modern, Tropical Ybor City Wedding | The Cuban Club

“Inspired by the venue, we honored the building's historical significance to Tampa and to Ybor City by choosing a Cuban-themed photo shoot. We wanted an Old Havana Cuban feel but with a more formal twist consistent with the building’s architecture and interior. We used tropical florals in peach and pinks and a lot of tropical greenery. Gold was used for accents to compliment all of the gold chandeliers.” -Karen Cerboni, EventFull Weddings

Luxurious Green and Gold Downtown St. Pete Wedding | Vinoy Renaissance

“Our wedding theme was classic and elegant, a modern fairytale. It was very romantic. My favorite color is hunter green, and my husband and I love gold. I've been planning our wedding for years and had always known I wanted dark greens, whites, and a gold color scheme! We love to go all out in all aspects of our life, so we had to do it big and over the top for our big day! It was all about the florals for me. I wanted all white flowers with lots and lots of greenery. That was what we were most excited about.” -The Bride

Vintage Hawaiian Inspired St. Pete Beach Wedding | Postcard Inn

“Our wedding was inspired by our love of the Hawaiian Islands and the culture that we portrayed in the décor and details of our wedding. We called it a ‘Vintage Aloha' theme, focusing on organic textures such as bamboo and woven fabrics paired with greenery and the beautiful florals inspired by tropical destinations.Hawaii was a common denominator, so to incorporate how special this was for us really led us to pick a beach ceremony and seaside reception. Additional details that tied into the theme included leis flown in from Hawaii and coconut drinks personalized as escort cards. Our colors were inspired by tropical elements but also by my love of wine. The maid of honor's dress and gentlemen's tie were all versions of a merlot/burgundy color. We wanted the natural surrounding elements such as the sand, ocean, and palm trees to play a role in our décor and color inspiration,” ” -The Bride

Modern Tropical Boho Sarasota Wedding | Concession Golf Club

“I wanted unique and bold flowers that made our wedding feel unique and clean. I also wanted it to feel summery and effortless in all of the décor and details. Our colors were matte black, deep green, champagne, and white. I wanted our wedding to feel eclectic, casual, and original with timeless colors with a modern touch in the execution. Although our wedding was formal in many ways, we wanted to bring in our casual style to the day. From me wearing tennis shoes to having a Be Our Guest play as the food was served to the guests. We made things feel goofy and ‘us.' There was even intention with the table design. I wanted it to feel eclectic, casual, and original. That is my style at home, and I wanted that to translate on the day!” -The Bride

Luxurious White and Blue Tented Sarasota Wedding | The Resort at Longboat Key Club

“We love it living on the gulf coast of Florida and couldn’t have found a more beautiful location for our wedding. Our inspiration for the wedding was classic and timeless white and blues with southern and Florida touches. I wanted the wedding design to complement the natural backdrop of our venue. The most important elements of the wedding for us were great food and amazing music. It was the first time since we moved away four years ago that we had both of our families and all of our friends together, so we wanted the entire weekend to feel like one giant party! We truly never wanted the weekend to end.”
