Carolina and Gage’s Boca Grande wedding featured a luxurious affair that showcased Florida’s natural beauty with a soft color palette. Highlighting the citrus groves found throughout the state, the reception included fresh oranges for a bright pop of color.
“I would describe our wedding as everything Florida, and classic old Florida, just like our venue. Gage’s family has a ranch in Sarasota with citrus, so we brought in the orange trees from the ranch and tied it to some southern chic design from my parent’s southern upbringing,” the bride shared. “We wanted natural earth tones, creams, whites, and greens with the pop of orange citrus from the ranch! I wanted things to look elegant.”
The South Tampa bride visited Little Gasparilla Island throughout her childhood and wanted to bring her family and friends to celebrate in the same spot where she had all of her fondest memories. To create the perfect wedding day aesthetic, she worked with a Sarasota wedding planner to create a chic and romantic atmosphere.
“We really wanted something trendy like our clear chairs mixed with soft natural classic colors. Our planner did an amazing job with that!” the bride beamed. “The way our florist made Banyan Street look like a fairytale and brought in the orange trees from the ranch, as well as the incredibly done tent on the golf course, was unique.”
To tie in the wedding theme to their stationery aesthetic, Carolina and Gage included natural elements from their venue. With the wedding ceremony taking place under the enchanted Banyan street trees, A+P Design Co featured coordinating illustrations at the top of their invitations and on the ceremony programs.
“Our inspiration was the Banyan trees we got married under. They were so perfectly done,” Carolina revealed. “We chose them through the advice of our planner, and my mom picked them out. I loved all of their Instagram photos of their invitations. So beautiful! Our crest brought in some of our personality with things we love like fishing and hunting, and of course our dog Boca.”
As Carolina reminisced on their wow-worthy wedding day, the moment her groom professed his love and devotion will always remain the most meaningful moment.
“The most important thing for Gage was to say our own personal vows. His vows to me were so touching. It was really special,” the bride reminisced. “Walking down the aisle and seeing Banyan Street like that was magical.”
