Casey and Angel’s Boca Grande wedding combined Florida’s paradise essence with luxury and extravagance creating a vibrant daydream. Pops of coral and pink radiated against the tropical greenery, while lush floral arrangements and a floral-filled arch were focal points of this outdoor tented wedding.
“Our theme was classy tropical with a Mexican flare. I wanted a beach wedding without the beach but with palm trees, greenery, and gorgeous flowers. Our colors were shades of pink and coral along with emerald green. Those colors looked beautiful together and brought in the tropical vibe,” the bride beamed. “My husband is Mexican, so I loved adding in the Mexican flare where I could.”
To create a dream wedding day, the Dallas couple enlisted NK Productions for their vast expertise in planning luxurious coastal destination weddings.
“Having your wedding on an island definitely complicates things and reduces vendors, so we needed experts to help us, especially since we live in Dallas. In a wedding planner, I looked for someone with organization, good ideas, and the ability to help us with the most cost-efficient options,” Casey explained. “NK Productions had organized a bunch of weddings at the v venue where we got married, so I trusted them and knew that they would know the ropes. Their service was absolutely impeccable all the way until the last minute! They really thought of everything and helped me to relax on my wedding day.”
For the ultimate destination wedding of 250 guests, the bride and groom chose elaborate decor to make the venue space unique. Over one thousand stems of coral sunset peonies were used to execute the tropical paradise design.
“We got married in between two palm trees on a spot on the golf course where nobody else has gotten married before,” the bride gushed. “During the reception, my half-sister and our niece both read scripture, one in Spanish and one in English. Also, there were a lot of little details that we customized during the reception such as customized maracas saying “Shake it for the Beltrans,” monogrammed bar decor covers that my mom made, along with individually custom painted table numbers on tiles that my mom also painted that had a Mexican flare.”
Looking back on their wedding day, Casey revealed that she’ll never forget the moment she saw Angel for the first time.
“Our reveal on Banyan Street before the ceremony was really special since it was just us two,” the bride reminisced. “Also, when we walked into the tent before everybody else did and got to see the reception set-up. It literally took my breath away because it was so beautiful!”
The Proposal:
I had a conference for work in Napa Valley, and we decided to make a weekend out of it and go wine tasting. At our first winery, Angel secretly had set-up the most beautiful area to propose and completely surprised me. He even had a photographer hiding away to capture everything. He then took me to lunch to celebrate where our immediate families and best friends were all waiting for us. We then went wine tasting with everybody to a few wineries around Napa Valley and had the most wonderful time. It was a dream!

The Maldives. We wanted to go somewhere neither of us has gone before, and somewhere really far away that was beachy but with activities to do. It ended up being the most amazing trip of our lives to-date.

What advice would you give to other Sarasota area couples?
Although it’s your special day, make sure you do think about your guests and ensure they have fun because most likely, the next time you’ll have this many of your friends and family in one place will be at your funeral. Remember to have fun because it goes by in the blink of an eye, so don’t sweat the small stuff.
