Drawing inspiration from the bright coastal colors and vibrant citrus of the Italian Amalfi Coast, this St. Pete Beach wedding styled shoot embraced mosaic patterns, opulent flora, and fresh, chic decor.
“We were inspired to portray the Amalfi Coast in Italy and since so many want a destination wedding or a destination-feel we wanted to showcase that,” Katy Turchich-Martin, Lead Planner at Coastal Coordinating shared. “Our colors were inspired by bright yellows to represent the fresh lemons, the white sands of Florida beaches, and shades of blue to represent the classic Amalfi aesthetic of the blue tiles.”

“The Don CeSar’s architecture, with its grand, historic design and Mediterranean-revival style, provides a perfect backdrop for an Italian-themed wedding. The pink exterior and elegant interiors evoke a sense of timeless romance and luxury as you would see on the Amalfi Coast. It has great scenic views from every angle of the venue,” the planner beamed. “The combination of beach and lush gardens can mimic the coastal charm of Mediterranean destinations. Plus the venue’s catering services can provide a Mediterranean-inspired menu, featuring dishes like fresh seafood, antipasti, and gourmet cheeses, which can enhance the overall theme.”
A talented team of wedding vendors came together to bring the European vision to life. From the linens to the place settings and bar cart, each element was thoughtfully curated with the collective style in mind. “We wanted to balance current wedding trends with classic elements to have a thoughtful blend of modern aesthetics and timeless details. Pops of colors and Mediterranean influences, like patterned china, were paired with classic and clean florals. Plus we kept the linens more clean and classic using light colors,” Katy articulated. “By focusing on the natural surroundings and using a photography style that emphasizes the timeless allure of the setting, I feel like we created a styled shoot that feels both fresh and timeless, plus it incorporates new trends.”
To transform the iconic Pink Palace into an Italian-inspired retreat, curated decor set the tone for the summer celebration.

“We wanted to create a look that highlighted the beauty of the Italian coast with its blue skies and azure waters. To achieve this, we used a combination of white and yellow flowers with a touch of blue for a clean and romantic look. Overall, the floral design for this shoot was all about creating a romantic feel, while still keeping it inviting and chic,” Izabela Rekawek, Creative Director of Design of Iza’s Flowers revealed. “The white and yellow color palette allowed the flowers to stand out against the historic backdrop. We also incorporated aromatic lemons into the design to invoke a dreamy and sensual feeling of the lemon zest you would experience in the fresh air of Amalfi. The overall effect was a beautifully cohesive floral design that brought a sense of natural romance to the styled shoot. The end result was a stunning display of flowers that perfectly complemented the romantic feel of the Mediterranean design, creating a truly unforgettable and elegant atmosphere for the shoot.”

Our antique blue and white plates added a vintage flair, perfectly complementing the tablescape. What specific florals did you use for this shoot?
For this styled shoot we went with white and yellow flowers with a touch of blue and mixed greenery for a bright look. By combining different textures with roses, stock, and butterfly ranunculus and adding lush greenery we were able to create a dreamy and romantic atmosphere reminiscent of enchanting pastures. We also incorporated aromatic lemons into the design to invoke a dreamy and sensual feeling of the lemon zest you would experience in the fresh air of Amalfi.
What specific details did you love the most?
We love stylized shoots because we can expand on the design adding details to elements that can often get neglected. We designed stunning pieces for the bar cart, cake table, and lounge seating adding that special touch and completing the overall look to embrace the romantic ambiance of the styled shoot fully.

What were your favorite elements of this shoot?
One of our favorite elements from this shoot was the beverage cart we created with the assistance of Kate Ryan Event Rentals. The cart and bohemian set-up gave us the idea to craft this as a mock bar with a signature drink that was showcased at the Cocktail hour. The best part to me was creating a destination look that is modern and trendy but at the same time classic and timeless. I love incorporating design and texture to the overall look as well. Plus I love adding fruit into the tablescape and I love the lemons so much.
