This Clearwater Beach wedding inspiration shoot combined the tropical vibe of one of Florida’s most popular destinations with vibrant colors, modern seating, and trendy décor to create an enchanting seaside dreamland for a creative couple. The bright and airy outdoor wedding featured a rooftop ceremony 16 stories above the sandy beach, turquoise water, and rainbow-colored ombre florals to match the glamorous tones of this beachfront styled shoot.
“I would describe the theme as velvety fun! I tend to love more moody colors, so I decided on jewel tones but added pops of bright yellow to add a touch of fun,” Karen Cerboni, wedding planner and owner of EventFull Weddings, detailed.
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach has a stellar reputation for hosting waterfront weddings, and EventFull Weddings added a lively ambiance to this collaborative shoot with colorful velvet couches for the ceremony seating, taking inspiration from the bride’s fuchsia earrings and bouquet. A whimsical color palette of jewel tones and pops of bright yellow perfectly complemented the vibrant style, enhancing the natural beauty of the award-winning Clearwater Beach backdrop.
“I used the pink color of the Hyatt Clearwater Beach as inspiration,” Karen shared. “The bride wore fun pink earrings rather than more traditional bridal jewelry. Pink was the primary color of the bride’s bouquet, and it carried through as well to the velvet furniture and florals.”
Florist Save the Date Florida created the multicolored floral arrangements of baby’s breath that swirled around the modern golden ceremony aisle candelabras, which lead to a classic balcony overlooking the breathtaking Gulf of Mexico.
“Karen and I really wanted to do a shoot that was colorful and unique. We wanted to show a new style with color! We chose mustard, raspberry, and navy with gold and geometric shapes,” Danielle Zechmann, owner of Save the Date Florida, shared. “We used geometric shapes as accents to the centerpieces and aisle décor, and we used beautiful gold candelabras as aisle décor and then repurposed them to the centerpieces. It’s a great way to utilize the ceremony décor at the reception.”
The stunning beach sunset was captured through both photography and videography by Iyrus Weddings. Owner Will DeCosta aimed to highlight the spectacular colors that follow “golden hour,” as the Gulf Coast sunsets are one of the standout attractions of Tampa Bay.
“I really wanted to go overboard with color, and it was photographed so beautifully!” the florist added. “We really wanted to pay attention to all of the little details and showcase them in this shoot, all the way down to the little favor boxes, the velvet furniture for the ceremony seating, and the colored candles.”
Gabro Event Services provided decorative rentals, including the ceremony seating that incorporated rich jewel tones blended with the soft texture of the velvet settees. Swapping out traditional wedding chairs for colorful textured seating added a unique element to the ceremony photos.
“My favorite element was using velvet furniture pieces for the ceremony rather than more typical chairs,” the wedding planner beamed.
With a focus on incorporating bright colors and geometric patterns, A&P Design Co. designed an invitation suite with a custom Clearwater Beach map. The simple fuchsia design of the Clearwater Beach illustration was the ideal detail for enticing any out-of-town guest.
“The inspiration behind the invitation was a modern, bright, fun invitation suite with bright colors and geometric patterns. So I played off the color palette and letterpressed the invitation suite and did a tone-on-tone feel with the papers. We printed the invite on mustard yellow paper and pressed the ink in an ink tone two shades darker than the paper. We created a custom map of Clearwater Beach to add to the fun of the suite and die-cut the RSVP into a hexagon shape,” Alicia Rohan, owner of A&P Design Co., explained. “We tied the suite together with a modern watercolor liner that had all the paper colors incorporated along with a fun hexagon paper clip. For the menu cards, we printed them on yellow paper and did a tone-on-tone print, and added fun little pink tassels.”
Exotic florals also complemented the geometric detailing in the bright yellow three-tiered cake by Tampa Bay Cake Company. The bright textured bottom tier added a unique design element creating a modern statement.
Adore Bridal gave the bride a chic twist on the classic natural look by incorporating a muted rose lip and soft eye makeup. The form-fitting wedding dress from Truly Forever Bridal added sophistication and flair with its dramatic train.
“The venue, dress, and design details were all so showstopping that we wanted to keep the hair and makeup minimalistic. We have noticed a trend for the ‘no makeup’ makeup look and have been seeing a lot of Hailey Beiber inspiration pictures from our clients with simplistic and chic style, and we wanted to showcase that hair and makeup aesthetic,” Kelcey Yeager, owner of Adore Bridal, revealed. “It really brought out our model’s natural features while complementing her incredible gown!”
