Channeling springtime with its soft colors and fresh blooms, this Tampa Bay wedding styled shoot combined a romantic palette of blushing peaches and sunny golds with whimsical details set at an enchanting gallery venue.
“The theme of this shoot was Spring Garden Peach. I was picturing these specific bright warm tones bouncing off of the white architectural backdrop giving an editorial flair with the whimsical elegance,” Lauren Gertz, Owner and Lead Event Planner at MDP Events shared. “My color palette consisted of peach, yellow, orange, and accents of pink with touches of gold and white. I wanted to showcase bright bursts of gorgeous warm colors and make the color a very prevalent and loud part of the shoot.”
The stunning exterior of the Whitehurst Gallery, along with its chic white event space, offers a blank slate ideal for injecting soft colors and delicate décor. Inspired by the Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C., the neoclassical architectural details provide dream-like photo ops throughout the estate, from the stately columns to the timeless artwork.
“Whitehurst Gallery is unlike anything else. The architecture within the space as well as the building itself, is a dream, especially for people who like to create,” the planner detailed. “Looking at the structure from the outside, I wanted to utilize the columns and the gorgeous front area to paint an editorial, whimsical, and romantic picture. The inside space is an all-white blank slate with stunning second-floor artwork ready to take on décor. I wanted to show couples how this venue can take on any color, style, and little detail and make it shine!”
When considering a wedding style direction, Lauren from MDP Events recommends that couples personalize their wedding day through the event details and not focus too much on a specific ‘theme.’
“I always say don’t get stuck to certain photos, styles, or colors you see in articles or on Pinterest,” the planner advised. “Determine what you love and what your relationship means to you! The guest experience is a large part of your big day, and you can add in pieces of the two of you through a cute champagne cart, elegant lounge furniture, peaches and grapes, and of course, repurpose your florals, so they are abundantly covering your reception!”
For those couples with fur babies, consider having them be a part of your wedding celebration. FairyTail Pet Care offers wedding day pet services that will allow your pet to join in the festivities and give couples unforgettable wedding photos and memories. They can also arrange to have adoptable pets from a local shelter brought on-site for guests to interact with during cocktail hour, with many of them finding their forever homes through their program.
“We loved having our favorites from Fairytail Pet Care bring along the sweetest young puppy, of course, dressed in his suit!” Lauren beamed.
From the outdoor lawn ceremony filled with color blooms to the romantic atmosphere created in the domed gallery, a team of wedding pros came together to showcase their skills through one cohesive vision.
“Blooming Floral Art designed the most extraordinary floral arch, centerpiece installation, aisle markers, and bouquet. The extremely cute champagne cart from Booze & Bubbles was the perfect vibe for this shoot, and we loved having her center stage! CC Sweets blew me away with her hand-painted wedding cake. I love how this cake shows that you don’t have to always use standard piping, fresh flowers, sugar flowers, or fondant; you can make gorgeous designs with hand-painted buttercream! Ending the evening with breathtaking portraits of our beautiful models on the rooftop during the golden hour was picture-perfect. The gown from The White Closet Bridal was spectacular, especially with the detailed veil flying in the breeze!” the planner gushed. “The tablescape details from the florals and fruit (especially the peaches) to the linens and tabletop rentals, played the theme flawlessly. Oak and Ash Events’ coupe glasses from the champagne tower on top of the grand piano, the most romantic lounge vignette set-up in the entrance, and china and flatware were exquisite.”
Cornelia Zaiss Photography and Stephanie Lanni Photography teamed up to capture all of the details, from the fine jewelry that perfectly suited the bride’s ethereal hair and makeup look to the colorful stationery pieces that echoed the floral arrangements, each detail was curated to complement the overall style.
“This was one of my all-time favorite shoots because of the amount of detail that the venue, models, and vendors gave in creativity and execution,” the planner raved. “The jewelry from Whitehurst Jewelers was the perfect accessory with so much sparkle and popped magnificently with Adore Bridal‘s hair and makeup! A&P Designs invitation suite and menu cards added a gorgeous light yellow and mauve to balance out the brightness of the flowers.”
What was your inspiration for this shoot?
I wanted this shoot to give off romance and whimsy and be beautifully bold with just a touch of a juicy peach. My floral inspiration was a large backbone of all of the details and specific set-ups designed because I wanted lots of texture, height, color, and florals everywhere possible.
What were your colors?
My color palette consisted of peach, yellow, orange, and accents of pink with touches of gold and white. I wanted to showcase bright bursts of gorgeous warm colors and make the color a very prevalent and loud part of the shoot.
