Mandy and Roy’s waterfront Lake Wales wedding was a Tuscan-inspired affair with pops of dark blue against the elegant ivory florals. The couple hosted an outdoor October reception against the gorgeous lakefront views following their Spring elopement in England.
“[Our wedding design inspiration was] casual Italian,” the bride explained. “[Our wedding colors were] dark blue and ivory, elegant.”
Marry Me Tampa Bay preferred wedding photographer Kristen Marie Photography highlighted the stunning sunsets over Lake Pierce with her unique and creative flair. From the intimate details of Mandy’s jeweled bouquet to the enchanting views, every moment was skilfully captured.
“We were looking for uniqueness. Kristen was the photographer for a friend of mine, and I loved her pictures,” the bride gushed. “We were looking for non-traditional pictures, and she nailed it!”
The Tampa couple took full advantage of the spacious property to capture a variety of styles and moments. Mandy’s gorgeous formfitting wedding dress featured a lace applique veil that cascaded down the outdoor staircase.
The 50-guest wedding was seated family-style at long feasting tables under romantic outdoor string lighting. Gold Chiavari chairs and chargers brought an added pop of metallic that complemented the serene backdrop.
From fresh roses and hydrangeas in shades of ivory and blush pink to the delicate garland of greenery that adorned the tablescape, Mandy envisioned a romantic table setting that was both elegant and charming.
While guests enjoyed the atmosphere, a string duo played romantic renditions of love songs. To keep in theme with the Tuscan-inspired decor, the couple brought in a mobile bartender to pass sparkling prosecco and a gelato cart for delicious Italian Ice.
To end the evening, Mandy and Roy exited the venue in their sportscar. As the bride reflected on their picturesque wedding day, it was the sentimental moment with her husband on the dance floor that meant the most.
“[The most memorable moment was] our first dance. My husband picked I Am Stuck on You and was singing the song to me while dancing,” the bride reminisced.

Uniqueness. Kristen Marie Photography was the photographer for a friend of mine, and I loved Kristen Marie’s pictures. We were looking for non-traditional pictures, and she nailed it!
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Casual Italian.
Where did you spend your honeymoon?
Initially, Spain, but had to amend and went to Napa Valley instead.
Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
All were equally great, but our florist went above and beyond. She took my Instagram inspiration with all the flowers, table decorations, and antique candle holders and turned it into reality.
What advice would you give to other Central Florida couples?
Don’t overthink it, and allow for you-and-him time. We get too carried away catering to all the guests and lose touch with the actual meaning of the wedding day, which is one of the most memorable events in your life.
