This whimsical Brooksville wedding inspirational shoot embraced a fresh perspective of warm, soft hues combined with a moody vibe. Veering from the typical jewel tones that are often repeated in moody palettes, this team of wedding professionals showcased a unique combination of golden apricot and deep amethyst for a modern, elegant design.
“We wanted to showcase the moody yet clean feel of fall weddings without using the standard fall tones like jewel tones, burgundy, and neutrals,” Lauren Gertz, owner and Lead Event Planner at MDP Events, shared.
“Our theme consisted of whimsical, romantic, moody, and modern elements. We wanted something luxurious and bold that showcased fall and winter tones in a fresh way!” Associate Planner Erin Seaberg detailed. “Our colors were peach, pink, light orange, eggplant, white, and muted natural tones. We wanted to play on the trending orange and purple wedding color schemes while also showcasing the beauty of high-contrast color palettes through muted pastel tones, darker tones, and bright whites. An MDP Events shoot is not complete without a luxurious, whimsical essence, so we took on the challenge of creating the perfect blend of modern and whimsy!”
Perched atop one of the highest elevations in Florida sits the area’s newest outdoor venue, La Hacienda on Snow Hill. The private estate features Spanish-style architecture, expansive views, majestic oaks, a wooded landscape, and rolling hills, which will transport you to a European countryside.
“I was awe-struck when I pulled up to La Hacienda. The view is just breathtaking. For someone who travels quite a bit but calls Florida home, it was refreshing to see what appeared to be hills or even mountains in the distance. The pavers really set the stage, and with the backdrop, it all just came together seamlessly,” Arianna Potts, owner of Arianna J Photography, beamed. “When it comes to photography, I am a big fan of leading lines and composition. La Hacienda really checks all of those boxes and gives you quite a variety to shoot with.”
“The venue is absolutely gorgeous! Not only is it an open canvas, but the outdoor space with the patterned flooring of turf and stone really adds to the space and feeds into a high-end look,” Lauren added. “Arianna from Arianna J Photography captured the venue perfectly by making sure to showcase the location as being serene, open, natural, and completely different from some of the other venues located in Greater Tampa Bay. We wanted to make sure to have the Fall feel and the color tones pop, and La Hacienda’s vibe and clean look helped be the perfect backdrop.”
To complement the rolling hills and lush greenery of the private estate venue, La Hacienda at Snow Hill, the team at MDP Events incorporated coordinating tones of terra cotta, stone, and greenery into the floral arrangements. The result was a nature-inspired design that channeled the surrounding greenspace and Spanish-style architecture for a cohesive look and feel.
“Our ceremony set-up was one of my absolute favorite parts! When designing florals with Save the Date Florida, I wanted to make sure the deeper maroon tones really popped with the bright white, black, and orange contrast. The arch the owner Danielle designed was perfect,” the planner raved. “The platform, as well as chairs from Oak & Ash Events, brought the entire space to life. The marina chairs gave the ceremony more of a whimsical light touch while our tablescape had more of the black touches.”
Arianna J Photography captured the dramatic details and emotion-filled portraits, along with diamond pieces from Whitehurst Jewelry, the adorable escort dog from Fairytail Pet Care, and attire from The White Closet Bridal and Sacino’s Formalwear.
“I absolutely loved the color palette and design that our talented team put together. I’m old school in the way that I just love black and white features. I love black-tie weddings, and I love black and white decor. It’s so forever classic and can really add so much to a design just by being there. The combination of moody florals with the black and white elements and pops of color really made the design shine,” the photographer beamed. “Can we talk about that bar?! It is such a show-stopper, probably one of my favorites I’ve ever seen!”
“The high contrast of the white tables and black bentwood chairs from Table For Ten were the perfect base for the moody, modern vision that we had,” Erin added. “The stunning florals and tapers from Save the Date Florida brought in all of the gorgeous colors and textures that we had envisioned. The tabletop rentals from Oak and Ash, along with the table number and name cards from Laconic Events and napkins from Nuage, brought even more texture and depth to the tablescape. The stunning bar from Oak and Ash was an absolute show-stopper! I could not get enough of the ultra-luxurious vibes paired with the gorgeous florals and custom bar sign!”
For couples who seek to replicate a modern-meets-whimsical wedding style similar to this shoot, the designers at MDP Events suggest not being afraid of color and choosing a reputable team of vendors so that the vision will come together seamlessly.
“This type of wedding is definitely for the couple who loves color and texture and a luxury guest experience! The beauty of this wedding style is that because it is moody, yet colorful, and modern, yet playful, it can be tweaked to fit an array of styles,” Erin noted. “There are so many opportunities to play with colors and styles with a theme like this, but most importantly, it is critical to choose vendors that you can trust to help bring your vision to life. Along with their products and services, each vendor that we worked with for this shoot brought their own creative flair and unique perspective!”
