Amanda and Joseph’s downtown Tampa wedding was a combination of industrial charm and romantic elegance with burgundy and blush tones that add pops of color with the greenery inspired theme and decor. For real wedding inspiration, the bride used Marry Me Tampa Bay while creating her Pinterest vision board.
“I would describe our wedding design as industrial elegance. I loved the contrast between the colors, and I thought it gave the romantic feel I was looking for,” the bride shared.

Being new to the area, the couple knew they needed guidance on planning their wedding day. Wanting a downtown Tampa wedding planner they could be on the same page with, Amanda and Joseph turned Breezin’ Weddings.
“We knew Breezin’ Weddings through work, and they were always so friendly, helpful, and wonderful, so Jessie was an easy choice for us! She was so great and really helped us through the entire wedding process. She gave us suggestions for all vendors, went to vendor meetings and tastings with us and knew just the questions to ask. We found almost all of our vendors through our planner,” the bride gushed. “Jessie had so many ideas that were so unique and fun. On our wedding day, she is the reason everything ran so smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about anything the entire day; she took care of it all and made sure we both always had a full glass the entire night.”

While choosing a Tampa wedding photographer, Amanda looked for someone who made her feel comfortable in front of the camera.
“From the very first meeting I had with Buffy of Lifelong Photography Studio, I felt so comfortable like I was talking to a friend. She really made sure to listen to requests and exactly what you wanted. The team did such an amazing job making us feel comfortable in front of the camera. Both of us were pretty nervous before our engagement pictures but it was so much fun and that had so much to do with the Lifelong team,” the bride beamed. “Lifelong was just so amazing and completely exceeded our expectations. On our wedding day, we couldn’t have asked for a better team to capture our day perfectly. They made sure they got every shot and created memories for us to look at forever.”

Looking back on their wedding day, Amanda reminisced on all of the personal touches she included from her relationship.
“We tried to incorporate personal touches as much as we could. We did a cookbook as our guestbook because that’s something we love doing together. We also have lived in four different states so, in addition to our wedding cake, we shipped in desserts from all of the different places we’ve lived in. It was a fun touch with some of our favorites!”
What were your wedding hair and makeup inspiration?
I wanted to look natural but feel beautiful. Hair and makeup were the toughest for me to picture ahead of time.

How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Industrial elegance. We both loved the character of our venue, a historic theater that has been restored.
What were your colors?
Our colors were burgundy and blush with a lot of greenery. I love the contrast between the two colors and I thought it gave the romantic feel I was looking for.
What did you look for in a wedding planner?
When we were picking a wedding planner we needed a good amount of guidance. Since we were pretty new to the area, we really relied on suggestions. We also wanted someone who we could relate to and was on the same page.

The Proposal:
It was simple and perfect. We were at home relaxing after a day at the beach, and Joe surprised me!
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We wanted to find someone who really captured who we are.
I cannot say enough about how amazing Lifelong Photography Studio is. From the very first meeting I had with Buffy, I felt so comfortable like I was talking to a friend. What did you look for in a wedding DJ/ Entertainment?
Music was extremely important to us. We wanted the music to create a fun environment and to reflect who we are. We wanted all of our guests to have fun and let loose on the dance floor!
Breezin’ Entertainment is part of the Breezin’ team. My wedding planner, Jessie, sent me videos of different violinists and DJs that we could hire and chose from there. The violinist did such a beautiful job during the ceremony and cocktail hour. I basically sent him a list of songs I wanted, even songs on the radio now, and he played them with ease and beauty. The DJ was great too! Our dance floor was full the entire night, and he played a variety of music that kept everyone dancing.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
We would just say to have fun while you plan, don’t sweat the small stuff, and make sure your day is about the two of you!
