Molly and Kyle’s rustic chic Tampa Heights wedding featured geometric gold details, his and her cocktails, and their French Bulldog, Lilo.
“I have a simple, clean style with a modern twist, and I wanted to incorporate that into my wedding to make it feel authentic to us,” the bride shared. “I’m also very much in love with plants and flowers, so I chose a navy, sage and dark green color palette with plenty of greenery. Our colors were simple yet classic colors. I thought they were perfect for January.”
The Florida natives imagined their special day with 127 guests to be the perfect reflection of their love for each other and their undying love for their French Bulldog, Lilo, a.k.a the star of their celebration.
“The true love of our lives is our sweet French Bulldog, Lilo. She is spunky and sweet and was about nine months old at the time of our wedding. We had to include her in any way shape or form,” the bride gushed. “I got a little illustration of her made and it kind of became our little wedding logo. She was on our seating chart, cocktail napkins, koozies, and our bar was named after her. She also made a little cameo in our photos with the help of FairyTail Pet Care! She was definitely the highlight of our wedding getting to see her in between our ceremony and reception put a smile on everyone’s face!”
It was so important to Molly and Kyle to incorporate their French bulldog, Lilo, into their special day, that they hired FairyTail Pet Care to handle all the day-of pet logistics.
“I actually went to high school with Ilana and Kelly so I knew they were trustworthy and would do a wonderful job handling our sweet Lilo,” the bride shared. “Their service was excellent and professional! I would recommend them to anyone interested in having their pet be a part of their wedding! They were thorough and made me feel so comfortable and at ease handling our baby. Ilana even sent us pictures during and after which totally made us smile. They were proactive to reach out to my planner and just really took the reins. I never felt out of the loop, but I also didn’t feel like I had to manage anything. They made our day absolutely unforgettable.”
Looking back on her wedding day, the bride shared how special it was to see her groom standing at the altar.
“Kyle and I didn’t do a first look, so seeing each other when my dad walked me down the aisle was truly the most memorable moment ever,” the bride gushed. “We didn’t text or speak on our wedding day so it was a mix of thrill, nerves, excitement, and anticipation all bottled up in one moment. I immediately felt at ease seeing Kyle, but that wasn’t until after many ugly tears while walking down the aisle!”

The Proposal:
Kyle and I had been dating for seven years; we met in college at the University of Florida. We had planned a trip to Asheville, NC for a long weekend. Both of us had never been, but we wanted to get in the Christmas spirit and see the Biltmore decorated for the winter. We got in late Thursday night, and Friday morning Kyle was up at the crack of dawn. He let me sleep in and then was trying to persuade me to get out of bed by bringing me coffee and offering to make me breakfast. I finally agreed to wake up and went on the back porch to drink my coffee. We had this incredible view overlooking the city and mountains. Before I knew it, in my PJs and with bed head, Kyle was on one knee asking me to be his wife. It was perfect! Simple, just us, and early in the morning! The rest of the weekend we celebrated and had the best trip ever.
