Jennifer and Eric
“Our theme was glamour, which we achieved with silver accents and plenty of candles throughout the venue. My primary color was silver. We wanted something that reflected glamour and stood out against the NOVA 535 backdrop.” -The Bride
Jennifer and Eric’s romantic downtown St. Pete wedding was a glamorous celebration at NOVA 535, where silver accents and candlelight transformed the industrial venue into an elegant, glowing space for 60 guests. The spring celebration featured white florals creating a striking contrast against the exposed brick and wood beams. Guests enjoyed a curated dinner experience with music spanning the decades and individual two-tiered wedding cakes that became an instant hit. The evening perfectly reflected the couple’s vision of creating an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience.
“We live in St Petersburg and wanted to celebrate our wedding in the place that feels most like us. Neither of our families lives here, so it was really special to have them travel to see the city we love and call home,” the bride shared. “Eric and I both wanted to create an experience that people hadn’t seen before. It was important to us that guests felt this was something special, not just another wedding. The mini two-tiered cakes were one of my favorite details. I received so many compliments on them, and people said they had never seen anything like that before. The dinner music was another special touch—Eric and I curated a playlist that took guests through the decades, from the 1960s to the 2000s.”

The Venue

NOVA 535
“We wanted a specific look: exposed brick, wood, and exposed beams. I also wanted a staircase as my entry point to come down the aisle. NOVA 535 fit the exact look we wanted, and their service was fantastic. We worked with April and A.J., and they were responsive and helpful every step of the way.”

Most Memorable Moment
“The most memorable moment was walking into NOVA 535 and seeing the flowers on the poles. This exceeded my expectations beyond words.
Walking down the stairs into the ceremony was an amazing experience, looking out and seeing all our friends and family smiling back at me was a moment I will always cherish.”

The Proposal
“We were on a long weekend trip in Naples, FL, in March. Eric surprised me and proposed on the balcony of our hotel room.”

The Florals
Bruce Wayne Florals
“We wanted white florals for glamour and to really stand out in NOVA 535. I wanted my bouquet to stand out among everything, so I chose a bright pink rose bouquet. The bright bouquet really popped in the photos and looked beautiful.
We attended a wedding the year prior, and the flowers were absolutely beautiful. When I asked who they used, they stated Bruce Wayne Florals. I knew we needed to go with them to get the results we wanted. John explained his thoughts for decorating the poles in NOVA 535, and I never expected the result he achieved. The flowers on the poles were stunning, and people were asking if they were real because of their beauty. I cannot say enough about their service. John is a master of his craft.”

The Design & Inspo
“Our theme was glamour, which we achieved with silver accents and plenty of candles throughout the venue. My primary color was silver. We wanted something that reflected glamour and stood out against the NOVA 535 backdrop.
The food, drinks, music, and flowers were some of the most important elements of our wedding. We really strived for glamour with the silver and white while embracing the warehouse-style look of NOVA.

The Honeymoon
“We honeymooned in the Turks and Caicos. Turks is our favorite vacation destination. We also incorporated Turks and Caicos into our wedding by taking our engagement photos on the island. At our reception, we had Rum Punch as our signature drink. We called the drink JenEric punch and added a note on the drink sign indicating that our favorite vacation destination inspired this.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
Bruce Wayne Florals went above and beyond. John explained his thoughts for decorating the poles in NOVA 535, and I never expected the result he achieved. The flowers on the poles were stunning, and people were asking if they were real because of their beauty.
Hands on Sweets also exceeded our expectations. We had a vision for two-tiered mini wedding cakes for the guests, but it was difficult to find anyone who could bring it to life. Marie met with us, really understood our vision, and executed it perfectly.
A&P Design Co. exceeded our expectations on the “Day of Paper.” The pieces Alicia created (welcome sign, seating chart, menus, drink signs, table numbers, and placecards) were beautiful and classy. This exemplified the look we wanted: glamour.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Do not settle; if you have a vision, stick with it. There are amazing vendors out there who can make your vision come to life.
