We wanted a wedding venue that fit our vibe, modern, intimate, aesthetically pleasing, and untraditional.
We had frequented Urban Stillhouse for many date nights and dinner outings with close friends and family. It quickly became one of our favorite spots to get dressed up, try out craft cocktails, and enjoy wildly delicious meals which vary by season and are created by Executive Chef Kenny Tufo.
Urban Stillhouse exceeded my expectations, so much so that I urged the events team at my company to plan our upcoming event there. Our company has committed and now I get to look forward to yet another exciting occasion at my favorite venue!
Our plan was to have our wedding in the backyard so we never looked at any venues. I knew doing our wedding in our backyard would require a lot more work so I asked my in-laws if they’d go tour Urban Stillhouse and FaceTime us.. We were out of town when it opened and from the pictures, it looked so beautiful. We ended up signing our I loved Urban Stillhouse because it just seemed so different than everything else around here. contract with them while we were out of town; we were just so in love with the building.
We had such an intimate wedding so the décor and warmth of Urban Stillhouse were exactly what I was looking for. Good food and drinks were also very high on the priority list and to know that they could deliver so well on food presentation and the taste was just icing on the cake! The service was also great too, our venue coordinator, Bri, was great and always super helpful along the way.
We wanted something that had an industrial feel, would not require a lot of additional decorations, and was unique, but also had a speakeasy vibe as we wanted our wedding to feel special, and exclusive.
We actually chose the Urban Stillhouse when they were still in their construction phases. We chose them for their beautiful design and atmosphere. They completely encompass our style and since their venue is so gorgeous, we did not need to decorate much.
Once we arrived at the venue, we did not have to worry about a thing. Meredith, Bri, Morgan, Joey, and Logan (best whiskey taste test spokesman/bartender ever!) were great at making sure everything ran smoothly, particularly being that we were their first wedding. The food was amazing and our guests (and us) were blown away with how delicious everything was.
This one is complicated… lol so originally I wanted a wedding venue that was walking distance from the Vinoy because that’s where our guests were staying but they still had very strict covid restrictions and we would have to cut our guest list by 150. At some point over the last year, the Urban Stillhouse opened and I just fell in love with its interior. So 3 months before our wedding, I started calling the Urban Stillhouse repetitively. Every time they had May 15th booked but eventually, they had a cancellation and we were able to scoop it up. What attracted me to TUS was the food, the design of the building, the service. It’s such a unique space for a wedding and didn’t need much decorating due to its beauty on its own.
