Andrea and Ben’s destination South Tampa wedding was a joyful rooftop celebration that featured warm wood tones, a soft and neutral color palette, and eucalyptus greenery in honor of the couple’s home in Australia.
“The design and concept were probably one of my favorites, timeless and classic. The overall vibe was classic, elegant boho. We incorporated shades of peach, evergreen, ivory, and gold,” wedding planner Liz Camacho of Liz Kamali Events shared. “The idea of having farm tables mixed with rounds was to give it somewhat of an outdoor farm feel; they live on a farm in Australia and own cows, goats, etc. We incorporated eucalyptus on the tables for an outdoor element and to give a scent that the guest could always remember.”
The bride and groom turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay to aid them in finding the perfect wedding photographer. Mary Anna Photography‘s light and airy style and ability to authentically capture candid images stood out to the couple.
“The bride found me through Marry Me Tampa Bay, so she was excited about possibly being featured there since it was our ‘matchmaker’,” Mary Neiman, owner of Mary Anna Photography, revealed. “Andrea incorporated a lot of unique elements from their love story. They’re an international couple, so there are elements from all their home countries interwoven in their wedding.”
The destination couple are from the U.S. and Australia and met while traveling abroad in Fiji. Their love story inspired several unique aspects of their celebration, reflected in their wedding details through boho accents paired with traditional elements. The result was an intimate and memorable affair for their 65 closest friends and family.
“Everything about the wedding was detailed and related to the couple’s love story,” the wedding planner detailed. “From the pretzels they handed out as favors (they met over lunch and shared a pretzel) to the personal notes written and left on the tables for guests. The cake had their fur-baby on it, and even the songs they played were sentimental to the bride and groom.”
Andrea opted for a sleek low chignon hairstyle to complement the classic silhouette of her chic Stella York gown. Michele Renee The Studio perfected her bridal look with natural makeup tones and a peachy lip that matched the pastel dahlias in her bouquet.
The creative team added an al fresco feel by weaving greenery garlands along the peaks of the reception tent, providing a focal point over the dance space. Wood feasting tables from Kate Ryan Event Rentals, along with cross-back chairs and woven rattan lanterns, added warmth and dimension to create a cozy feel, while collections of flickering candles set the mood for romance.
“The most important part of the wedding was that the ambiance be romantic but with an outdoor feel,” the wedding planner articulated. “Adding the greenery and chandeliers really helped enhance that feeling.”
