Embracing the feel of summer, this Ybor City wedding inspiration shoot combined a romantic color palette of pastels, natural greenery, and soft elements that ranged from a lush floral wall to cloudy puffs of cotton candy.
“We had a summer monochromatic theme. Hotel Haya asked that we create an event that would bring bright colors into their space, so we chose this theme to highlight the whimsical colors of summer. We decided to keep the theme monochromatic with bohemian elements,” Katherine Carcamo of Confetti Events shared. “We considered multiple options for color scheme, the venue allows for so many beautiful palettes, but ultimately we landed on blush and peach tones. We wanted to make sure that the colors we picked would feel relevant to current brides while also emphasizing a color palette not often seen in Ybor City.”
The inherent character of the historic urban venue created the perfect backdrop for the light and refreshing décor. The neutral setting provides the flexibility to personalize the space to fit any style and is ideal for couples looking for a venue with unlimited options.
“Hotel Haya is the perfect place to bring these ideas to life. The hardwood floors, brick walls, and high ceilings really allow for a bride’s personal touches. It’s a beautiful blank canvas that allows for endless creativity,” the planner beamed.
“Our goal was to showcase all of Haya’s in-house décor and tables, chairs, satin linens, arch, etc. as we offer our couples so many items within the room rental. It was also important for us to not only show the natural beauty of the Valencia Ballroom with the windows and brick walls and our outdoor courtyard for intimate ceremonies,” shared Meghan Hygh, Catering Sales Manager for Hotel Haya.
Woven rattan chargers were paired with gold flatware and crystal goblets courtesy of Kate Ryan Event Rentals. The warmth of the gold tones perfectly accented the peach and pink hues of the flora, while the rustic rattan texture offered a bohemian vibe.
“We wanted this shoot to be fun and vibrant,” Lara Vincent of Confetti Events detailed. “The event took place in July, so we wanted to capture the feeling of a carefree summer while showcasing a realistic wedding setup. The boho touches in the rentals, the bright colored flowers, and the large, beautiful windows at Hotel Haya helped you to feel in touch with the season while being inside, away from the Florida heat.”
Soft shades of nude pinks and buttery peaches echoed throughout the floral arrangements and romantic balloon backdrop. Even the bride sported a subtle shade of coral lipstick with side-swept natural curls from the hair and makeup artists at Femme Akoi Beauty Studio. An unexpected addition of real stone fruit helped tie together the color palette and the summer season while elevating the tablescape with a punch of freshness.
“The florist, Boho Floral, surprised us on the day of by bringing actual peaches to set on the tables,” the planner gushed. “This was a highlighting item that really brought everything together. The incorporation of fresh fruit brought definition to our theme.”
“There are so many elements of the décor that I’m obsessed with, but I have to say the bright and whimsical flowers in our ballroom were beautifully showcased. The Valencia Ballroom is like an empty canvas and can accommodate so many different colors and styles. With our oval tables and ivory satin linens, it was a beautiful combination, beamed Meghan Hygh.
