Victoria and Tyler hosted their elegant Brooksville wedding weekend in the serene setting of a private estate filled with friends and family. The romantic wedding’s soft color palette popped against the historic white property and rolling green acres.
“Our theme was southern vintage. We chose it because it incorporates both our personalities and styles. I love everything historic and antique, while Tyler has always been a southern gentleman,” the bride beamed. “Our colors were lavender, peach, and blush. We went with spring colors. I would browse the Marry Me Tampa Bay Instagram account for any cool ideas and tips.”
The ceremony took place in front of the picturesque white estate while 100 guests were seated around the circle driveway. To make the March weekend even more meaningful, the Tampa couple’s closest friends and family were able to stay with them at the private estate.
“We wanted a historic home, or historic-looking home, with a beautiful surrounding property. Quality time with our loved ones was really important to us, so we picked a venue that allowed our wedding party and close family members to stay on the property all weekend. We did not want to travel from a hotel to a ceremony to a reception venue; we wanted to be relaxed and stay in one place,” the bride detailed. “Legacy Lane Weddings was exactly what I envisioned for my dream wedding venue. It was the first and only wedding venue we toured. I teared up when we first pulled up to the property because it was so beautiful! Brooksville is close enough to Tampa for convenience purposes but far enough away that you feel like you are in a peaceful, rural oasis. Their service was great. During our wedding weekend, they truly made us feel welcome and at home.”
For a bright and airy photography style that would complement the serene setting of the property, Lifelong Photography owner Buffy Feldman was there to capture the couple and guide them through natural poses and candid moments.
“We wanted a photographer who made taking photos fun and comfortable. We don’t enjoy taking photos and would rather enjoy the moment. Lifelong Photography Studio made the photoshoots our own special memories together. Our wedding planner highly recommended them, and they had great reviews,” Victoria revealed. “We knew we made the right decision during our engagement photoshoot. Buffy made it so enjoyable that it felt like a date night together! She and her team did an excellent job capturing our wedding day.”
Victoria looked like a southern belle in her off-the-shoulder a-line Justin Alexander gown from Truly Forever Bridal. Adore Bridal Hair and Makeup highlighted the bride’s natural beauty by curling her blonde locks and creating a glowing-glam makeup look.
“I was looking for a flattering dress for my super long torso, something that wouldn’t make my torso look even longer. I avoided mermaid-style dresses or anything like that. Other than that, I was pretty open-minded,” the bride explained. “I chose Truly Forever Bridal because they had a large selection, and I liked that you could buy your dress at the shop instead of having to order a dress and wait months for it. I really enjoyed my shopping experience. We rented their larger dressing room, so it was our own mini-party.”
As the bride thought about the most special moment of the day, it was their first look and first dance that stood out the most.
“There are two moments that we’ll treasure forever. One was our first look. We both cried. It is impossible to put into words why that moment was so special, so I’ll just leave it at that,” Victoria reminisced. “The second moment was when Tyler asked the DJ to play one of our favorite songs Lady May by Tyler Childers, for us to dance to alone once our reception ended and our guests had to leave. It was important for us to have our own time together without an audience, so we were happy we succeeded.”

The Proposal:
We went on a date, and when we came back to our apartment, Tyler had roses and candles everywhere. He got down on his knee right there in front of our refrigerator! It’s exactly what I wanted because I preferred a private engagement with no photographers or anything over the top.
