For those who imagine spending their summer on the Amalfi Coast, this styled shoot channels the luxurious vibe and vibrant colors of the famed Italian cliffside mansions, translated into a modern Sarasota wedding.
“The inspiration for the shoot was for couples who dream of an Italian wedding but cannot travel overseas. You can have family and friends feel like they were transported to Italy even though they are close to home,” Amber Yonker, owner of Amber Yonker Photography, shared. “We chose a yellow, green, pink, and white color palette. It brought an elegant touch while still evoking a modern aesthetic that complemented the venue.”
The lush garden setting with statuesque sculptures and waterfront mansion perfectly suited the European theme. Architectural details such as colorful stained glass and manicured topiaries gave a nod to charming coastal destinations such as Lake Como.
“We chose the Italian wedding summer theme because of its romantic and vibrant atmosphere. Italy is known for its rich culture, memorable sights, picturesque landscapes, and warm weather during the summer,” the photographer detailed. “The Ringling as a venue fits just that. Incorporating elements like textures, aromas of olives and lemons, and greenery accents brought the vision to life.”
As a seasoned wedding photographer, Amber of Amber Yonker Photography focused on capturing the day as it unfolded, artistically balancing a combination of detail shots, candid moments, and expertly posed photos. The end result conveyed the whimsical feeling of a sublime holiday in Italy.
“As a wedding photographer, my favorite part of the Italian summer theme wedding was the vibrant and enchanting beauty of the bright blooms, which added a touch of romance and finesse to the entire celebration,” Amber gushed.
Nods to the European locale inspiration were threaded throughout the wedding shoot, including a decorative wall of beautifully displayed limoncello, along with floral umbrellas reminiscent of those gracing an Italian terrace. Rattan furnishings and fresh lemons added summertime freshness.
“The unique elements of this shoot include bright blooms, gorgeous lemons for pops of color, neutral wood chairs, popular Aperol spritz cocktails, and a Prosecco escort display with a fountain that makes you feel like you are in Italy,” the photographer beamed.
