Nicole and Eric’s waterfront downtown Tampa wedding featured a neutral palette accented with warm copper and orange hues and wispy bohemian flora that included wildflowers and fluffy pampas grass.
“The theme was boho with a lot of natural elements. I loved the colors and how bright and fresh it was. We got engaged on the beach, so we wanted to tie in a tropical feel,” the bride shared. “Our colors were neutral, with two pops of color. The main pop of color was orange roses, and the other was small pieces of lavender to tie in my great-grandmother’s bracelet I was wearing. My bridesmaid flowers were more of a wildflower look, and they work silk copper colored dresses to play off the orange roses.”
The couple elected to host their nuptials in the bride’s hometown of Tampa and recognized the importance of working with a wedding planner who could provide budget-friendly and creative ideas while being well-connected in the local industry. They instantly felt at ease with Breezin’ Weddings, entrusting them with all the important details of their special day.
“I looked for someone who was dependable, well-connected to the community, experienced, and responsive. I loved Breezin’ Weddings!” Nicole raved. “Our planner was great with ideas and being creative while keeping us within our budget.”
Nicole opted for a natural look with loose curls and a delicate braided halo created by the artists from Femme Akoi Beauty Studio. She accessorized her embroidered lace gown with an heirloom bracelet that belonged to her grandmother.
The pair incorporated subtle details as nods to their personalities and relationship, from personal music selections to colorful confections.
“We used music and small design pieces to represent us,” Nicole articulated. “For example, Eric walked out to Harry Potter instrumental, and we had orange and blue cake pop (Go Gators!) to represent where we met.”
Both Nicole and Eric’s families and cultures were represented during the reception, with both Spanish and English music genres blended together courtesy of Breezin’ Entertainment. The entertainment company’s broad team of seasoned musicians made it easy to find the perfect fit for their multicultural celebration.
“We hired Breezin’ Entertainment for our DJ because the DJ spoke Spanish and was able to mix Spanish and English music genres,” the bride detailed. “They also were easy to coordinate between the planner and the DJ.”
Although the bride and groom spent the day surrounded by those they loved dearly, it was an intimate moment before the ceremony that will forever stand out as a treasured memory from their celebration.
“The most memorable moment was our first look and private vows. It was just a special moment we got to spend together,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
We had a staycation planned at Siesta Key, and unbeknownst to me, Eric had his own plans! While we were getting ready for “dinner” he had our friends set up an arch, that he built himself, on the beach with flowers. When we came to watch the sunset, there was this beautiful arch waiting for us. He had a photographer friend take pictures of us, and after the proposal, our close friends and family came out of hiding with champagne! We still have the arch with us!
