Meagan and Craig
The Tampa EDITION
“Meagan wanted to embrace the tropical side of Florida while still keeping the overall wedding elevated and formal. Meagan and Craig’s tropical-inspired downtown Tampa wedding was a May celebration that paired vibrant pink blooms, lush greenery, and monstera leaves with an elevated, black-tie feel. The couple said “I do” on a rooftop terrace surrounded by greenery, toasted with signature cocktails named after their two dogs, and celebrated at a posh boutique hotel with a distinctly editorial, destination-like atmosphere in the heart of the city.
“Meagan and Craig’s wedding brought tropical vibes to life at The Tampa EDITION, from lush greenery and vibrant florals to the outdoor ceremony. The moments of the day were relaxed with a joyful energy, and the celebration perfectly captured a modern, tropical-inspired wedding that’s both stylish and fun,” photographer Eddy Almaguer shared.

“Meagan and Craig’s wedding was a tropical dream! We loved working with this beautiful couple and wonderful family. I met with Meagan and her mom, and we had a wonderful time together!
Meagan had a definite vision in mind for her flowers, and we loved her style so much! She loved tropical greenery along with bright pink blooms, orange, and white to create a vibrant, elegant atmosphere. We chose hibiscus, birds of paradise, tropical ginger, anthuriums, calla lilies, and orchids. Monstera leaves and roebelenii palms completed the design beautifully.
It was an honor to bring this vision to life for Meagan and Craig!”

From the Planner
Seashine Weddings & Events
“The biggest priority was creating a wedding that felt elevated and sophisticated while still feeling warm, personal, and fun. Meagan and Craig wanted their guests to have an incredible experience, while making sure the day still felt true to them.
We paid a lot of attention to the overall flow of the day and the guest experience, making sure everything felt seamless while allowing the couple to enjoy the celebration alongside their guests.”

The Ceremony
“The ceremony setting was a huge part of what made this wedding stand out. Meagan and Craig were married on The Tampa EDITION’s rooftop terrace, surrounded by lush greenery. The space is so beautiful and distinctive on its own that it didn’t need a lot of additional decor to make an impact. We were able to keep the ceremony design intentional and relatively clean, allowing the natural surroundings to be the focal point.
The Tampa EDITION also has a very different look and feel from the traditional hotels around Tampa, which gave the entire wedding a more editorial, destination-like atmosphere while still being right in the heart of the city.”

“The first thing that stands out to me when I reflect on Meagan and Craig’s wedding is the absolute joy and smiles on their faces. I’m not talking about a cliché ‘everyone was happy’ type of deal. Meagan was an expert at losing herself in the moment with her bridal party.
The genuine joy and laughter truly showed what it felt like to be there. They weren’t trying to perform for anyone. It was about them and their people. To this day, the warmth, kindness, and intentionality that flowed from the people of that day stand out to me.”

The Most Memorable Moments
“One of my favorite parts of the day was getting to take Meagan and Craig around The Tampa EDITION for photos before the ceremony. They had a chance to step away from everything for a little while and spend some quiet time together in spaces like the iconic disco ball Arts Club and the vibrant Punch Room. It gave them a moment to take a breath and be together before the day officially began, and it resulted in some of the most iconic photos from the wedding.
More than any single moment, what stands out to me is how present they were throughout the entire day. They had so much fun together, and you could tell they weren’t just moving from one wedding tradition to the next. They were taking it all in and enjoying each other, which is always one of my favorite things to see as a planner.”

The Inspiration
“Meagan wanted to embrace the tropical side of Florida while still keeping the overall wedding elevated and formal. The design was a tropical bohemian take on black-tie optional, with vibrant pink florals, tropical greenery, and details like monstera leaves woven throughout the day. It felt like a natural fit for the setting at The Tampa EDITION and for the couple, especially since they were preparing to move out west shortly after the wedding for Meagan’s job as a transplant surgeon. There was something special about leaning into that Florida feeling and creating a celebration that felt vibrant, fun, and distinctly of the place where they were getting married.
The color palette centered around vibrant pinks, paired with lush tropical greens and natural tones. The bright pink brought so much energy to the design, while the greenery and tropical foliage helped tie everything back to the Florida setting. Together, the colors felt bold and tropical without losing the elevated feel Meagan and Craig wanted for a black-tie optional celebration.”

The Personal Touches
“We wanted the wedding to feel elevated and intentional while still having plenty of personality woven throughout. Meagan and Craig have two dogs, Athena and Bill, who are a big part of their lives, so they named their signature cocktails after them. It was such a fun detail and one that guests immediately connected with.
Their love of Florida and the tropical setting also played a big role in the design and details that kept the wedding from feeling too traditional. Overall, we focused on incorporating details that felt fun, colorful, and personal to them rather than choosing elements simply because they were expected at a wedding.”
