Annie and Philip
The Tampa Edition
“We aimed for our wedding to have a classic feel while also being somewhat minimalistic. The colors were white and black with green accents. The white and black aligned with our classic theme, while the green accents added warmth and an organic feel.” -The Bride
Annie and Philip’s chic downtown Tampa destination wedding was a timeless Spring celebration filled with neutral flora and classic black and white accents amid romantic candlelight. The Chicago bride and groom hosted their 115 treasured guests for an outdoor rooftop ceremony, followed by an elegant ballroom reception at an esteemed four-star Florida hotel.
“The most important elements were food quality, music entertainment, and no-wait drinks at the bar,” the bride revealed. “Our most memorable moment was the reception and after-party because of the number of people that packed the dance floor and partied until 1 a.m. When we transitioned from the reception area to the after-party, we anticipated losing about half the people. What happened instead was that almost everyone joined the after-party because they were enjoying the evening so much. That made both of us so happy.”

The Proposal
“The proposal took place in my apartment in Chicago under the guise of us getting dinner with my sister and brother-in-law on a Friday night. After proposing, there was a knock on the door that was both of our immediate families, surprising me with being in town to celebrate over the weekend.”

The Bach Party and Honeymoon
“I hosted my bachelorette party in Tulum, MX. The location was easy to get to for all of my friends and allowed us quality time enjoying a boat day, fun dinners, and overall relaxation.
We went to Croatia (Dubrovnik and Hvar) for our honeymoon in early June. It was a perfect blend of a trip with pools and beach for relaxation while also getting to do some exploring in a beautiful and historic European country.”

The Planning

Parties A La Carte
“When searching for a wedding planner, we sought out someone who was as obsessive about details as we are. Since we were doing the planning from Chicago, we needed to trust that our planner had a vested interest in making the weekend as memorable as possible
Parties A La Carte were recommended to us by a family friend. Jessica Ralph and her team delivered in every aspect. Their service was fantastic all around, and we would recommend their services without hesitation. Whenever we had a question, request, or concern and contacted the Parties A La Carte team, we never had to wait long to hear back for answers.”

From The Planner
“Annie and Phillip’s wedding day at The EDITION was the epitome of classic, timeless elegance. Our favorite detail was the lush white florals accented by flowing greenery, creating a soft and romantic atmosphere. We also loved the stunning portraits captured on The EDITION staircase. These beautiful moments will be cherished for years to come!”

The Inspiration
“We aimed for our wedding to have a classic feel while also being somewhat minimalistic. The colors were white and black with green accents. The white and black aligned with our classic theme, while the green accents added warmth and an organic feel.”

From The Florist
“Designing Annie and Philip’s wedding was such a meaningful experience for me. The EDITION is one of those rare venues that feels modern and timeless at the same time. Its quiet luxury, neutral finishes, and warm wood tones created the perfect canvas for the romantic, organic garden-style florals.
The couple chose classic white blooms including garden roses, ranunculus, hydrangea, lisianthus, stock, and sweet peas, which blended beautifully into the space, while layered foliage like variegated Italian pittosporum, smilax, and ruscus added depth and softness that felt intentional and serene.
I am endlessly grateful for the talented vendor team who collaborated with such care, and equally proud of my team at Bruce Wayne Florals. Their artistry, dedication, and heart are woven into every detail, and this remarkable day simply would not have been possible without them.”

The Florals
Bruce Wayne Florals
“We didn’t have a specific floral inspiration other than something that matched our overall classic wedding theme.
Bruce Wayne Florals came recommended by our wedding planner and offered a competitive and comprehensive design that matched our budget.”

The Photobooth

The Gala Photobooth
“We attended other weddings that had a photobooth and really enjoyed the experience as guests. We also liked that guests got to participate as much as they wanted and had pictures to take home. The Gala Photobooth was recommended to us by our wedding planner, and we were very pleased with their service.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
All of our vendors exceeded our expectations!
What advice would you give to other Tampa couples?
We highly recommend a wedding planner that you can trust. Parties A La Carte negotiated prices and advocated on our behalf, more than making up for their fee. Beyond pricing negotiations, the organization and logistical planning that they did leading up to and on the day of the wedding was invaluable.
