Embracing a whimsical and quirky vibe, this colorful Palmetto wedding inspiration shoot featured spring blooms, pastel tulle gowns, and sweet treats such as a cotton candy cart and macaron-garnished cocktails.
“The theme of this shoot was ‘Luxe Cotton Candy Carnival.’ I was envisioning something really different and unique that would make for a fun, non-traditional wedding!” Lead Planner and Owner Lauren Gertz of MDP Events shared. “I selected blush, lilac, pinks, light orange, and light greens for this shoot. This pretty pastel palette was inspired by cotton candy, macarons, and the vision of a sweet whimsical essence that I wanted to run throughout the shoot.”
The dreamy style and rainbow palette were translated through bountiful florals, from pastel-hued climbing flowers lining the ceremony space to the loose cascade of wildflowers and bunny tails that adorned the elegant feasting table.
“It was very important that this shoot felt out-of-the-box but cohesive,” the planner articulated. “Drawing inspiration from the sweet treats highlighted throughout the day, I selected florals that would complement the textures, whimsical nature, and color scheme. I also envisioned utilizing pedestals for the ceremony, having a wide tablescape arrangement, and having a bouquet with an airy feel. Save the Date Florida went above and beyond in creating the florals and brought that upscale, luxurious essence to the shoot while matching the theme beautifully.”
Danielle Zechmann, owner and lead artist at Save the Date Florida Wedding and Event Floral Design, created the colorful arrangements filled with a variety of blossoms and greenery to reflect the feel of tomorrow’s brides and grooms.
“I was so excited to do the flowers for this shoot. The bright color palette and whimsical theme just got my creative juices flowing!” Danielle gushed. “I love that color is becoming more of a trend; it photographs so beautifully and inspires me as a designer.”
With years of experience as a professional wedding planner, MDP Events recommends that couples look to unique décor elements to elevate their wedding style and provide the “wow factor” or opt for a statement wardrobe piece for a stylish accent.
“If you are looking for a great way to pull in a fun and whimsical dress but not ready to let go of traditional white for the big day, there is always the option to get a whimsical gown for the after-party!” Lauren advised. “Another great way to recreate some of these elements is through upgraded tabletop rentals. We highly recommend working with a rental company to bring your dream tablescape to life! The possibilities are simply endless.”
As the event styling unfolded, each meticulous element was artfully captured by Amanda Zabrocki Photography. Known for her keen eye for detail and her natural photography style, Amanda forever preserved the joyful feel of the day through her lens.
“All of the exquisite details were captured beautifully by Amanda Zabrocki Photography, who brought such a fun energy to the day!” the planner raved.
The inspiration shoot was a true collaboration of creatives who came together to inspire and rewrite the trends for a wedding day. Each talented event professional was an integral piece in the collective puzzle, and Lauren credits the entire vendor team for coming together to produce such a stunning final result.
“There was so much detail in this shoot, and each element really played a role in the beautiful outcome! The dresses from Lillie Mae Collection were honestly show-stoppers. They captured the essence of the shoot’s vision perfectly! The jewelry from Arnold Jewelers? Wow. Just wow. I could not get enough of the glam and the uniqueness of the pieces. The shoot theme was highlighting non-traditional wedding ideas, and the jewelry fit beautifully with its brilliant colors,” the planner beamed. “There was also the adorable cotton candy cart and the shimmer wall from Posey Exchange. These elements elevated the theme and helped carry it to the next level. The stunning tablescape was a gorgeous collaboration, with chairs from Posey Exchange and tabletop rentals from Set and Styled. The icing on the cake was the gorgeous menu cards from Korynne + Company that pulled the tablescape colors together in perfect harmony. I loved the opportunity to work at the gorgeous Palmetto Riverside Bed and Breakfast for this shoot. The gorgeous grounds and picturesque details of the property served as the perfect backdrop! Exceptional hair styling by Tiffany Stylez, and stunning makeup by Megan Panwar finished off the gorgeous glam of our model.”
