Overlooking the skyline of Tampa Bay sits a sophisticated wedding venue perfect for your downtown Tampa wedding. The Tampa Club offers captivating panoramic water views and serves as the highest accessible point in all of Tampa Bay, featuring a ballroom space for up to 150 of your closest loved ones on the 42nd floor. The wedding venue boasts beautiful floor to ceiling windows overlooking Tampa Bay, Bayshore Boulevard, Downtown Tampa, The Port of Tampa and Ybor City. You can see the entire city all the way to the airport, Raymond James Stadium, the Skyway Bridge and even Busch Gardens!
To complement the downtown vibe and atmosphere, The Tampa Club Director of Catering and Events, Brittany Erigo partnered with Tampa Bay wedding vendors to create a ‘Sex and the City skyline glam’ inspired wedding shoot.
“We wanted to choose a theme that was city, sophisticated and a pop of fun. The glamour, city and pure elegance that the show represents and connects with women everywhere is what Sex and the City is all about,” Brittany shared.
Tampa wedding photographer Carrie Wildes Photography captured every glittering detail of this styled wedding shoot, include breathtaking portraits on the iconic Tampa Club staircase and the venue’s wine cellar.
Tampa wedding florist Northside Florist combined feminine light pink roses in the bride’s bouquet with a hint of shimmer provided by thoughtfully placed crystals. A lush canopy of ivory and white hydrangeas, roses and greenery provided a jaw dropping backdrop for the couple’s big day in The Tampa Club ballroom for both the ceremony and reception.
Wedding decor rental company Gabro Event Services provided the chiavari chairs, uplighting, linens and pipe and drape to bring the event design and concept to life.
“The touches of glitz and glamour, from the glass and gold rimmed chargers and gold silverware from A Chair Affair provided the perfect show stopping pieces,” Brittany explained. “These were touches that went a long way in tying the gold theme together and giving the room a finished and more polished look.”
Tampa Bay custom wedding invitation and design company A&P Designs created a timeless invitation with a modern gold script and a bold black envelope with gold glitter liner for a pop of demure glamour.
For that something sweet that completes a wedding celebration, Tampa Bay wedding cake designer Hands on Sweets decorated a hand-painted, five-tiered wedding cake fit for the Sex and the City queen herself.
“Our cake design was something that Carrie Bradshaw would want at her wedding,” Brittany gushed. “Totally classy, but a little bit of fun. The cake is completely elegant and sleek with the gorgeous sugar flowers created by Hands on Sweets. Then to bring in the fun, we love the hand painted gold confetti. It truly exemplifies the theme of this shoot.”
How would you describe your theme?
Sex and the City skyline glam. The Tampa Club is the highest accessible point in all of Tampa Bay, so we have the most amazing views in the city. We wanted to choose a theme that was city, sophisticated and a pop of fun. The glamour, city and pure elegance that the show represents and connects with women everywhere is what Sex and the City is all about.
What were your colors?
We wanted something very classic and elegant, which was represented in the ivory and gold tones. We also wanted it to have the Carrie Bradshaw feel of being sophisticated and glamorous, so to bring in a little pop of fun we went with touches of light pink and glitz/glitter.
