Kate and Brent’s Treasure Island beach wedding gave their guests a glimpse of the paradise they call home, as they were surrounded by bright tropical flowers adorned with leafy palms.
“We had tropical flowers in bright oranges and pinks with monstera palm leaves because we wanted to complement the natural beauty of the beach with bright, tropical flowers and organic, rustic elements throughout the decor,” the bride shared. “We looked at the featured weddings on Marry Me Tampa Bay to get inspiration for our own. The members of the wedding party wore neutral colors. The bridesmaids wore short, white dresses and the groomsmen wore white, button-downs with light khaki linen pants and flip flops.”
Treasure Island holds a special place in the bride and groom’s hearts, and they wanted their 120 closest loved ones to experience the best that Florida has to offer for their April celebration. Everything from the ceremony to dinner to the dance floor was on the beach, with every detail planned by EventFull Weddings.
“We live in Treasure Island, and it is where we fell in love and where we had our beautiful son. We knew we wanted to have our wedding here, and we ended up having it one block from our house!” Kate beamed. “We wanted a wedding planner who could provide full planning services leading up to the wedding, day-of coordination, and really be able to understand our vision. We chose Eventfull Weddings because we loved what they had done with other weddings and felt confident they knew which vendors we could partner well with. They did an amazing job!”
The Treasure Island couple said their vows under a driftwood altar decorated with vibrant pinks and oranges alongside peaches and blushes to bring out the beach’s natural beauty. Their wedding florist, Save the Date Florida, created a serene paradise to celebrate their love.
“The flowers were super important to us, and we wanted someone who could not only take our ideas but elevate them,” Kate revealed. “Save the Date Florida was highly recommended, and we loved the previous work they had done. We absolutely loved the flowers!”
The bride and groom reflected their personalities in their music choices and looked for a DJ who could give their guests an amazing party so that no one wanted to leave the dance floor.
“We wanted our wedding to reflect who we are individually and as who we are as a couple. We accomplished this through our different music selections throughout the ceremony and reception, as well as having the wedding party surprise our guests with a fun, choreographed dance,” the bride beamed. “We wanted someone who understood our style and could make sure our guests had a great time. Graingertainment was easy to work with, and our guests had a ton of fun dancing at the reception.”
The couple didn’t want to forget a moment of their day and hired Lifelong Photography to capture everything from the delicate embroidery on Kate’s ethereal off-the-shoulder gown and the branded, fresh coconut table assignments to the romantic beach shadows reflecting from twinkling string lights.
“My husband and I don’t particularly love having our pictures taken, so we wanted someone who could make it easy for us and be fun to work with,” the bride revealed. “We liked Lifelong’s gallery of previous weddings, and they came highly recommended by our planner. They were great to work with, and we loved our pictures!”
When Kate and Brent look back on their wedding day, they remember nothing but love and happiness.
“Being able to share part of our first dance with our one-year-old son in front of so many friends and family was so special. It is something we will remember for the rest of our lives,” the bride reminisced.
