Channeling the modern urban setting of the city center, a team of wedding professionals collaborated to create an inspirational downtown Tampa wedding set amongst the brick and glass buildings. A monochromatic black and white color palette provided a contemporary yet traditional setting that allowed metallic accents and greenery-focused floral arrangements to stand out.
“I wanted to stick with classic and timeless colors such as black and white, and include brass accents within the palette for a modern touch,” Justyna Krasinka, Owner and Planner of Elevate Events shared.
Showcasing the newly renovated ballroom at the Hilton Tampa Downtown, along with its outdoor ceremony space, the team of wedding pros incorporated modern design elements such as clear ghost chairs and neon signage along with industrial elements like metallic furnishings and matte black dishes.
“Our theme and overall look played on words such as sophisticated, elegant, and modern,” the planner revealed. “My vision board was inspired by the venue itself. The Hilton Tampa Downtown is located at the heart of downtown Tampa, so I knew a modern look would align perfectly and complement the all-glass design of the building!”
The couple wore timeless attire, with the groom sporting a chic black tuxedo and the bride donning a collection of sleek gowns from Truly Forever Bridal, which included a fit-and-flare design with flattering ruching and dramatic cathedral veil for the ceremony, before changing into a sheath satin dress with a lace bodice for the reception. To complement the classic looks, the artists at Adore Bridal accented the bride’s natural beauty with neutral tones for the eyes and lips and loose pinned-back curls.
To create a modern and sophisticated setting, A Chair Affair adorned the reception space with clear ghost chairs, a focal hedge wall backdrop, and a chic lounge in a striking green velvet fabric. The place settings featured matte black dishes flanked with black-dipped flatware to echo the bold color scheme, while the three-tier silver leaf and abstract ruffle detail wedding cake from The Artistic Whisk was displayed atop a gold bar cart.
“A favorite element of this shoot was the emerald green lounge area from A Chair Affair,” Justyna beamed. “Adding lounge pieces around the dance floor welcomes guests to a mix and mingle’ atmosphere. This is a newer trend, and our vendors are here for it!”
