Ella and Eric
The Vinoy Resort & Golf Club
“Our wedding vision was vintage, edgy, and elegant. I wanted to incorporate draping as the main design element. I wanted a wedding that felt less traditional, so I opted to include candles and textiles in the design rather than a lot of flowers. We chose shades of cream, vintage silver, and green for the flowers. I wanted neutrals—it aligns with my personal style.” -The Bride
Ella and Eric’s luxurious downtown St. Pete wedding was an elegant evening filled with neutral cream flora and billowy fabric accented with vintage silver and romantic candlelight. The New York couple exchanged vows in a moody indoor ceremony, witnessed by their 175 closest friends and family, before dining and dancing the night away in a historic ballroom setting.
“Eric and I are known to be the planners and the hooters; we throw good parties, and we wanted to extend that into our wedding day. We wanted our guests to feel like they were on vacation. Most of them were traveling in from our hometown of Buffalo, NY, and we wanted to make it worth it for them!” the bride shared. “Music, food, and drinks were super important. I wanted it to be a party! I wanted Eric and me to have the best night of our lives dancing away with all the people we love.”

The Bach Party and Honeymoon
“I opted for a casual long weekend with my mom and sister in Turks & Caicos rather than a traditional bachelorette.
For our honeymoon, we chose Sicily, Italy. We wanted a cultural experience plus some relaxation. Sicily has amazing beaches and historic baroque towns – it was exactly what we were looking for!”

The Ceremony Music

Sweet Harmony
“We wanted a string duo that could perform a variety of genres, as we wanted a mix of classic and modern music.
Our wedding planner highly recommended Sweet Harmony. They worked well with our budget, and sounded great from their YouTube videos.”

The Proposal
“We were in St. Pete at my parents’ house, having a glass of wine during sunset before heading downtown for a fun dinner. Eric proposed near the ocean, and it was incredible! We spent the rest of the night eating great food, drinking, and dancing.”

The Inspiration
“Our wedding vision was vintage, edgy, and elegant. I wanted to incorporate draping as the main design element. I wanted a wedding that felt less traditional, so I opted to include candles and textiles in the design rather than a lot of flowers. We chose shades of cream, vintage silver, and green for the flowers. I wanted neutrals—it aligns with my personal style.
The mix of vintage and modern made our wedding unique. We added some creative elements, such as the projection of old wedding pictures from our relatives.”

The Linens
Over The Top Rentals Linen
“The velvet linens and napkins from Over The Top Rental Linens added a vintage element, which I loved.”

The Planning

Parties A la Carte
“I looked for a planner who was optimistic, a go-getter, and kept us on budget.
The Vinoy recommended Parties A la Carte as one of their top preferred planners. When I chatted with them, I loved their attitude and willingness to chat with me before we agreed to work together.”

The Entertainment
“We wanted a DJ/band fusion, someone creative, who loved music, and understood that we wanted more than the wedding classics to be played. Parties A La Carte highly recommended Tampa Bay DJ Company.
We incorporated a Polish song/dance tradition that has been a part of both of our families for years. The entire night was incredible.”
