Waterfront South Tampa Wedding | Westshore Yacht Club Wedding
Jackie and Justin’s romantic waterfront Tampa wedding featured a steel blue, grey and sage color palette to complement the water views of the Bay and beautiful landscaping of their venue.
The Dunedin couple chose an organic theme to reflect their love of the outdoors and natural elements.
“Our theme was simple, minimalistic and somewhat earthy,” the bride explained. “We chose different elements we were drawn to individually and they looked even better coupled together. The blue and green hues throughout really complemented the water views of the Bay.”

Searching for a waterfront Tampa Bay wedding venue that was intimate and beautiful on it’s own without a lot of décor, the couple happened upon the gorgeous Westshore Yacht Club located in South Tampa.
“The beautiful marina and sunset views, along with easy planning process, led us to Westshore Yacht Club, and we couldn’t have been happier,” the bride gushed. “In addition to the beautiful venue, the package that the Westshore Yacht Club offered included an incredible day of coordinator, Amy Winkleman. She kept us on track with planning and made sure everything ran smoothly on the big day. Our venue gave us a less stressful planning process and a beautiful ceremony and reception, all within our budget.”

Embracing the organic, bohemian chic feel of the wedding, the bride hired Tampa Bay wedding florist Wonderland Floral Art to create magnificent bouquets that were an added touch of grace to the bridesmaids gowns. Natural elements including eucalyptus adorned the boutonnières to embrace the earth toned color palette.
“Keeping with the simple, natural theme of the wedding we kept our floral decor beautifully simple as well,” Jackie explained. “Wonderland Floral Art saw my vision for unique bouquets that were repurposed into centerpieces that made our tablescapes complete.
Not originally planning to hire a Tampa Bay wedding videographer, the bride was so happy that she made the choice to hire Bonnie Newman Creative to capture her special day on camera to look back on for years to come.
“I was on the fence about whether or not a videographer could fit into our budget, and I am so glad we decided to get one! I wanted someone who I knew would understand my vision and Bonnie Newman Creative did just that,” Jackie beamed. “I sent her a handful of my favorite wedding videos, and she helped me identify the elements I loved from each. Once we decided on a vision together, she committed to deliver that for our wedding and has truly done so. Bonnie’s work is breathtaking and each wedding she films is better than the last.”

Looking back, the bride kept her focus on ensuring that her day was centered around the love the couple has for one another.
“The most important elements to our wedding were the little things that we couldn’t plan for and that money couldn’t buy: watching our family dance all night, my best friend bringing the crowd to tears in her toast and a surprise rap performance from my talented cousin,” Jackie reminisced.

The Proposal:
Justin and I purchased our first home in November of 2015. To celebrate, we hosted our first Christmas dinner bringing together both of our large, close-knit families. Ever the gentleman, Justin ended the meal making a toast thanking our family for coming together to celebrate our new venture. The next thing I knew, he was on one knee in front of 25 of our closest family members asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was perfect and exactly us.
