Angel and Dirrell’s vibrant downtown Tampa wedding was a colorful summer celebration, featuring chic, modern decor accented with bright flora in shades of lemon, sky blue, and fuchsia. The Tampa bride and groom hosted their 110 closest friends and family in a whimsical art museum setting.
“The most important elements of our wedding were beauty, fun, love, and family,” the bride detailed. “We knew we wanted a special day that was beautiful and truly a fun night to celebrate not just our love, but all the love in the room.”

“I did not want a bachelorette party, but my sisters planned the perfect Tampa day. Growing up in the area, my sisters planned a day dedicated to the years of our childhood—bowling at Bowlero on 56th Street, ABC Pizza on Hillsborough Ave, Bo’s Ice Cream on Florida Ave, and United Skates on Armenia Ave—our childhood at its finest!
We honeymooned in Cancun; Dirrell picked and planned everything. I just showed up. I did not know where we were going. He told me two days before our wedding.”
The Experience
“The most memorable moment was when I walked down the aisle and saw Dirrell. I had been to the Tampa Museum of Art through the years for school tours and projects, and never did I think this was where I would get married and walk down the aisle to the man who makes my heart race and smile every day.
The speeches from Dirrell’s dad and my sisters, Jackie and Ashley, were also so very special. They truly showed who we are as a family. And I’ll never forget the dancing – we are a crowd that dances!”

“Gabro Event Services provided our chiavari chairs, a ceremony stage and facade, draping, chargers, flatware, goblets, dance floor, a round bar, and lounge furniture. The decor injected the classy vibe we envisioned, and added an element of fun for the dance floor.”
Which vendors really exceeded your expectations and how?
Everyone! Everything was perfect and breathtaking! I have been so blessed to be part of this industry for just about 10 years. Most of my vendors were some of the first people I met when starting, and they truly supported and guided me along the way. With all their love and support, of course, I wanted them to be part of my wedding.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Trust the process, have fun, and hire a planner. The day goes by so fast – enjoy every moment!
