Kasey and Kaleb
The Powel Crosley
“Our wedding design inspiration was a neutral garden party with lots of whimsical blooms. Our colors were light moss green and champagne pink. These colors tied in perfectly with the estate and nature of the lawn at The Powel Crosley.” -The Bride
Kasey and Kaleb’s romantic Sarasota wedding was a dreamy celebration filled with love, laughter, and lush garden-inspired details. Surrounded by 114 of their closest family and friends, the bride and groom exchanged vows beneath the soft April sunshine, with whimsical blooms in shades of light moss green and champagne pink bringing their neutral garden party vision to life. From the elegant florals to the thoughtful guest touches and the handwritten love-note cocktail napkins, every detail reflected their warm personalities and deep connection.
“What made our wedding unique was the attention we paid to details regarding our guests. We knew how much it meant to have our guests travel to be with us on our big day, and we wanted to include them as much as possible in our details,” the bride revealed.

The Proposal
“We went to Sand Key Beach, which is a frequent spot for us. Our neighbors were hiding in the dunes while we walked out to the water. They secretly videotaped the proposal for us. It was an intimate moment for the two of us, reflecting our personalities and private lives.”

The Honeymoon and Bach Party

“We are going to St. Lucia on our honeymoon in October for a 6-month wedding anniversary. We chose this location because neither of us has ever been there, and we were looking for a mix of beach and hiking in the mountains. St. Lucia gave us all of that in one.
I hosted my bachelorette trip at Madeira Beach, FL. It is close to where I live, and I know the surrounding area well. This allowed us to plan an itinerary that we knew would be fun and safe for us all!”

Most Memorable Moment
“One of the most memorable moments was walking down the aisle since we did not do a first look. The raw emotions that we felt were so pure, and we will never forget seeing each other for the first time on that day. Another memorable moment was singing Country Roads with all our guests surrounding us at the end of our reception. It is a tradition back home to play this song at weddings, so it was memorable to tie it into ours as we have since moved away.”

The Photography
“We looked for a photographer who offered multiple, reasonably priced packages, captured couples in raw/honest motion, and had a light, airy style. We chose Amber McWhorter Photography because she checked our boxes listed above.
The best part of our package was the complimentary engagement session. This allowed us to meet her before the wedding day, and she was able to understand who we are and what photos and pose styles were important to us. Having her second photographer on the wedding day was also a must for us to capture as much content as possible in a short timeframe.”

The Design
“Our wedding design inspiration was a neutral garden party with lots of whimsical blooms. Our colors were light moss green and champagne pink. These colors tied in perfectly with the estate and the lawn at The Powel Crosley. The florals and decor were the most important elements because they truly elevated the wedding and made it as beautiful as it was.”

The Guest Experience
“What made our wedding unique was the attention we paid to details regarding our guests. We knew how much it meant to have our guests travel to be with us on our big day, and we wanted to include them as much as possible in our details.
We are big note/love letter writers throughout our relationship, so we included cocktail napkins that had our handwritten notes on them. We chose to frame every married couple’s wedding photo from their day and display them on a table. We had a sign that read ‘For those who walked before us, remember that feeling?’ Guests were so surprised when they found themselves in their photos and thanked us for thinking about them on our day. We also had a mother-daughter dance for the mother of the bride, then invited all the mom-daughter duos up to finish off our dance with us. This was a big hit for our guests as well, and made them feel included.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
Michael Smith, on the violin, was amazing during our ceremony and cocktail hour. Guests were so amazed by his talent and how he sounded live. Our planner, Daniela Alvarez, went above and beyond to coordinate our day after our first planner stopped responding to emails. The staff who worked on our day for Simply Gourmet by Metz were so friendly and made the experience very enjoyable for guests.
What advice would you give to other Sarasota couples?
Incorporate fun elements into their weddings. Hire the mobile cigar bar, and include your guests in your cocktail hour/reception.
