Embracing a vibrant color palette, industrial elements, and a unique new wedding venue, this inspiration styled shoot showcases fresh hues at a renowned brewery in Tampa Bay.
“The goal was to create a modern wedding at a microbrewery that feels warm and whimsical. The direction for this styled shoot was created with the idea that a brewery wedding can have elements of fun, fashion, and florals,” Katelyn Rose detailed, owner and photographer at Sea Rose Creative. “The color palette of Florida Avenue Brewing Co. is vibrant but clean, creating a setting that is perfect to have a unique backdrop like the terrazzo ceremony site, without visually competing with the space. The outfits are chic, but perfect for a brunch wedding or a warm and intimate evening gathering. It’s everything that is Florida without the obvious beach location.”
Located just 25 minutes from downtown Tampa, Florida Avenue Brewing Co. is a 40,000-square-foot state-of-the-art brewery, taproom with walk-in beer cave, full-service restaurant, and private event space.
Their Brewers Hall indoor event space features polished concrete floors, tall ceilings, large windows, and a custom-built bar equipped with six draft lines and access to the outdoor Beer Garden. The whimsical setting was the perfect backdrop for this bright, offbeat style ideal for couples looking for a departure from traditional wedding trends.
“The theme was created around the venue. The colors and style of the shoot were inspired by the love of craft beer, love for your significant other, and creativity that can be brought into any space by complementing what is already there,” the photographer shared.
Nods to the brewery were reflected throughout the shoot, including stalks of grains incorporated into the flowers and growler jug vases interspersed down the feasting table. Rustic gold accents accented the wood furnishings, while amber pints of beer and pops of earthy green and sky blue brought the outdoors in and softened the warehouse reception space.
“The main colors were cream, light blue, green, and a warm leather brown. They complemented the space well, pulling from the bright green astroturf of outside to the pale blue colors of the sky. The warm leather of the invitation suite went well with the leather couch inside the space,” the photographer detailed.
A variety of handcrafted elements from a team of local wedding pros brought the overall vision to life, but a few favorite items included a terrazzo-inspired ceremony backdrop focal wall and coordinating lined invitation envelopes.
“The hand-painted backdrop by Wild Flower Press was my favorite focal point, and I love how it went with the beautiful stationery set by Citrus Press Co,” Katelyn beamed. “I could really envision a fashion-forward-craft-beer-loving couple enjoying this venue for their wedding day.”
