Hannah and Spencer’s waterfront Sarasota wedding combined soft, romantic shades of pink and white with accents of gold, warm wood tones, and an abundance of flora all set beneath a canopy of stars.
“We wanted a light and airy vibe with natural lighting and colors. This matched our vision and the venue,” the bride shared. “Our colors were blush and navy with gold accents and lots of greenery. It felt warm and natural to us.”
“When I think of light and airy, I think soft and romantic, which is exactly the kind of love Hannah and Spencer have. With the florals, we added some wispy greenery to create an airy look. The flowers were light pinks and whites to keep the soft hues flowing! I used a very delicate calligraphy font that complemented the soft colors and classic décor,” wedding planner and designer Anna Taylor of Taylored Affairs added.
The Clearwater couple sought a wedding planner who could take their vision and offer creative input to design a beautiful and memorable event for their 130 guests. They immediately clicked with Anna Taylor of Taylored Affairs.
“[The three top qualities I looked for were] empathy, good listener, creative,” Hannah detailed. “We chose Taylored Affairs as we wanted our wedding planner to create our beautiful day with their own creativity but also prioritize our vision, and they did a perfect job.”
The pair opted to write their own vows for the January ceremony, which Hannah attributed as one of the most unique elements of their wedding day.
“We had multiple people tell us that it was one of the best weddings they’ve been to, not just because of the beautiful experience but because they could tangibly feel the love between us and our families,” the bride beamed.
To complement the low back and v-neck of her lace detailed dress, Hannah chose a sideswept style of large and loose curls and a neutral makeup palette for a more natural bridal look. Each of the bridesmaids selected their own hair and makeup looks, from curls to updos to wispy braids.
“I wanted a natural look and for our stylists to listen to our wants. Femme Akoi Beauty Studio was fantastic; they provided natural looks and listened to each girl’s requests,” the bride raved.
It was the culmination of their guests coming together on the dance floor in such a picturesque setting that Hannah recalls as the most memorable aspect of their big day.
“We love live music, so the band was very important. We also love nature, so the event was all outside,” the bride articulated. “The live band brought everyone on the dance floor, and the weather was perfect the entire day and night with a perfect sunset.”
“Hannah and Spencer have great relationships with their friends and family members, so listening to their toasts was a highlight of the evening. The love that was felt that evening was truly beautiful! Hannah and Spencer also knew from the beginning that they wanted to have a good time so we hired Bay Kings Band early on in the planning process. Their dance floor was alive all night long!” the wedding planner beamed.
