Patty and Greg
“The inspiration for the decor came from our appreciation of the art deco era, fused with lush and vibrant tropical elements. We wanted something visually striking and exotic, with jewel tones for our color palette. We used emerald green, gold, and pink.” -The Bride
Patty and Greg’s vibrant downtown St. Pete wedding was a colorful and creative fête surrounded by whimsical artwork. The bride and groom exchanged vows in a secluded sculpture garden adorned with climbing greenery accented with pink and purple flora, before hosting their 100 closest friends and family for a chic museum reception.
“We wanted our wedding in a setting that felt personal to us. Greg grew up in St Petersburg, and we live close to downtown. We spend a lot of time on Beach Drive and have always loved visiting the Museum of Fine Arts.” the bride detailed.

Most Memorable Moment

“The most memorable moment was our first look. It was such a relief to finally be with Greg. I immediately felt comfortable and less anxious about the events to come.”

The Photography
Dewitt For Love
“I didn’t want anything to look too staged or contrived. I was looking for photography that felt authentic and not just the same rinse and repeat. I found Shannon and Brandon of Dewitt For Love Photography on Instagram and immediately fell in love with their photography.
They felt like storytellers who not just capture moments, but express the emotion of the occasion. They always made us feel comfortable, and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I absolutely love them and would use them again if I ever had a need.”

The Design
“The inspiration for the decor came from our appreciation of the art deco era, fused with lush and vibrant tropical elements. We wanted something visually striking and exotic, with jewel tones for our color palette. We used emerald green, gold, and pink.
Our florist did an amazing job putting together dramatic arrangements that created a glamorous and vibrant setting. And we added a custom GOBO because Greg and I met in 2013, which happened to be the year of The Snake. It wasn’t planned, but I realized that here we are, 12 years later, getting married in the year of The Snake.”

“Our favorite element of Patty and Greg’s wedding day was their desire to adhere to a feeling and a design that was uniquely them! From bold floral colors to Patty’s beaded dress to their custom snake monogram, they made choices that were both unique to them and a bold look for their wedding day!
Patty and Greg are very laidback, genuinely fun, and kind people, and we believe that always shines through in photos, too! They were up for anything: classic portraits, dreamy motion shots, silly moments, and serious vibes. It was truly a dream to work with them and capture such a gorgeous wedding!
We especially loved the tall centerpieces. With such a tall ceiling, it really drew the eye up to how magnificent the atrium is for a reception! Their custom monogram and velvet bar were also a huge hit with us! Those touches took an already beautiful and functional design and added luxe layers to it all!”

The Decor
Gabro Event Services
“We hired Gabro Event Services for lounge furniture and the decorative bar. The emerald green and gold helped complete our look. Plus, it was nice to have a seating area to break up the large space of the Conservatory.”

Which vendors exceeded your expectations?
Our cocktail hour musicians, Nate and Daniela, set the love and bossa nova mood. We were so honored to have such talented musicians play a special role on our day. Everyone who came to the wedding said The Hit Factory was absolutely the best band they’ve ever heard at any event. They kept the party going and everyone on the dance floor. Everyone was blown away.
Our planner, Kimberly Hensley, made everything so easy to navigate and helped me put this wedding together. She got to know us and was able to guide us through the creative process. She made finding and selecting vendors simple to navigate through her organization. I truly appreciate that I found her and had her guidance through the planning.”
