Elegant Southern Inspired Wedding | Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club Wedding
A classic Tampa country club wedding with a twist of southern elegance brought an unexpected feel and charm to the recently renovated Tampa Palms Golf and Country Club for this styled wedding shoot.
Having undergone a recent refresh in their ballroom, the Tampa wedding venue wanted to showcase the new look and breathtaking panoramic views of the property. Offering clients a way to experience a real wedding in the new space, Tampa wedding planner Ashley Moody of Love Lee Lane Weddings and Events took the helm in leading the inspirational shoot which transformed into an open house that evening for Tampa Palms’ guests.
To soften the design and to add a romantic appeal, the planner selected a neutral color palette. From the custom designed letter pressed stationery from A&P Designs to the white French country chairs, plates and glassware from A Chair Affair, we love how each element brought this styled shoot together.
“We took note from the beautiful ballroom refresh which includes gray and white tones. The myth or stigma that a country club wedding is basic was something we wanted to prove wrong,” Ashley explained. “The greenery of the golf course adorned with a sweet wooden bridge along with the architecture of the white column breezeway gives the venue a southern plantation feel.”

The elegant reception draping by Gabro Event Services and floral centerpieces set a romantic tone, while the cake pop creations from Sweetly Dipped Confections served as a focal point on the dessert table.

“Gabro Event Services did an amazing job with the design and florals, highlighting the beauty of the venue while creating timeless romance with their decor,” the planner shared.
Behind the cameras capturing the details of this gorgeous shoot were Tampa wedding photographer Andi Diamond Photography and videographer Imagery Wedding Films, who captured the beauty of the bride in her lace wedding dress from The Bride Tampa, with hair and makeup by Michele Renee The Studio.
How would you describe your theme?
The theme of the Tampa Palms styled shoot was classic with a southern elegance twist. Tampa Palms is known for being a prestigious country club, and we wanted to soften the design to add romance.
What were your favorite elements of this shoot?
The drapery feature in the ballroom was so beautiful! Our vendor team shared so many laughs that have honestly created long lasting memories!
What were your colors?
We took note from the beautiful ballroom refresh which includes gray and white tones. The myth or stigma that a country club wedding is mostly dull or basic was something we wanted to prove wrong. The goal of the white and gray colors, with pops of greenery and metallic tones, was to create imagery that was refreshing and appealing to potential couples.
