Aimee and Marcus
“Our wedding theme was Disney’s Tangled movie. Tangled is my favorite movie and a large part of our story. We chose shades of purple and yellow to complement the Tangled theme. It made everything feel magical and fantastical.” -The Bride
Aimee and Marcus’ whimsical South Tampa wedding combined soft pastel tones of blush, lavender and lemon with chic accents of gold and fanciful details reminiscent of their favorite animated film.
“Our wedding theme was Disney’s Tangled movie. Tangled is my favorite movie and a large part of our story. Marcus proposed near the Tangled mosaic at Disney’s Riviera Resort,” the bride revealed. “We chose shades of purple and yellow to complement the Tangled theme. It made everything feel magical and fantastical. I felt like a princess, which Marcus says describes my personality! We love Disney and are annual pass holders so having a Disney themed wedding was on par for us!”
The Florida couple sought a seasoned photographer to capture their 80-guest October celebration. With his warm demeanor and stunning portfolio, Eddy of Eddy Almaguer Photography impressed the bride and groom from their first meeting to their final images.
“We looked for someone who made us feel comfortable while taking photos as well as someone who had taken photos at The Orlo before so they would know all the good shots,” Aimee shared. “We love Eddy’s photography style and how bright his photos are. He is so personable and delivered beautiful photos.”
The pair exchanged vows in front of a wall of billowy fabric draping that added a soft lightness to the indoor space. A moon arch accented with swags of white hydrangea, yellow lilies, blush roses, and lavender stock, was repurposed between the two spaces, serving as the focal point for both the ceremony and the sweetheart table.
The bride and groom turned to Kate Ryan Event Rentals to help transform the space for the ceremony and the reception. Classic white table linens offered a neutral backdrop for the colorful floral centerpieces, while gold Chiavari chairs with luxurious gold velvet cushions echoed the sparkle of the tabletop lanterns and charger plates.
“Kate Ryan Event Rentals provided the tables, chiavari chairs, table cloths, drapery, and one of the bars. We used the drapery to camouflage the stage and soften the room.”
Aimee channeled her inner pricess, opting for a ballgown adorned with delicate lace embroidery and sheer off-the-shoulder balloon sleeves, accessorized with a dramatic cathedral-length veil. Posing for portraits on the grand staircase surrounded by clusters of fresh blooms, she appeared to have steps right out of the pages of a beloved fable.
Watching his bride walking down the aisle during the processional was a moment that Marcus will never forget, while the first dance stood out to Aimee as a core memory.
“Seeing each other for the first time that day as Aimee walked down the aisle was the most memorable moment. We were both very nervous before but seeing how beautiful she looked in her dress made the world stand still. I was in awe of how beautiful she looked,” the groom reminisced. “Our first dance was memorable because we were dancing as a married couple for the first time together. The first time we ever danced together was at our high school prom, and Marcus asked me to be his girlfriend.” Aimee added.

The Proposal:
