Grace and Kevin
“We wanted a disco theme with statement floral designs. This was Grace’s brainchild from a few years of Pinterest iterations. Our colors were peach, lavender, green, and white. The colors were a unique palette and contrasted well with the beach and distinctive pink Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach facade.” -The Bride
Grace and Kevin’s whimsical Clearwater Beach wedding was an enchanting celebration filled with pastel flora in tones of peach, lavender and cream, romantic candlelight, and disco balls for a touch of sparkle. The pair exchanged vows during a rooftop ceremony overlooking the water before dining and dancing with their closest friends and family in an elegant ballroom reception.

The Photography
“We were looking for a chic documentary and film inspired photography aesthetic. Amber Yonker Photography stood out, did film photography, and matched our classy beach vibe. Amber’s service was great. She had high energy all day long in shoot after shoot. Amber made it fun and easy to pose for hours.”

The Proposal
“Kevin asked me on a date to a restaurant on the Embarcadero in San Francisco, where we had our first date. He popped the question in front of the Bay Bridge!”

The Venue

Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach
“We chose Clearwater because of the beach, amazing weather, proximity to Grace’s family, and fun vibes. We wanted to cultivate the beach/vacation experience for our guests, so we looked for the location by the beach that could accomodate both a large number of guests and also our large welcome party, outdoor wedding, and ballroom, with elegance. We wanted our guests to enjoy the things we love the most: the beach, great weather, music, a good time, and convenience, all in style, so our guests could feel like they were on vacation as much as they were at a wedding.
The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach was a great venue, great location, attentive and experienced staff, good value for the money. We were very pleased with our service from the Hyatt.”

The Bach Parties & Honeymoon
“The bachelor party was in Las Vegas. Kevin loves electronic music, sports, gambling, and pool parties, so he and 17 of his closest friends quite enjoyed the weekend. The bachelorette party was in Fort Lauderdale. I love the beach, warm weather, a sweet Airbnb with a pool, and dinners with friends, so me and my 14 closest friends really enjoyed the weekend.
The honeymoon was in Sandals Grande St. Lucian. We wanted to completely chill out after the wedding with an all-inclusive experience at the beach. St. Lucia is all that and more!”

The Videography
“We looked for someone available relatively last-minute who could produce a high-quality product. We didn’t decide to hire a videographer until a few weeks before the event.
We chose Iyrus Weddings because they were available on our date on four weeks’ notice, and we could tell they could make a high-quality video. They also fit our price point.”

The Design & Experience
“We wanted a disco theme with statement floral designs. This was Grace’s brainchild from a few years of Pinterest iterations. Our colors were peach, lavender, green, and white. The colors were a unique palate and contrasted well with the beach and distinctive pink Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach facade.
We incorporated our personalities through the music. We curated multiple playlists and worked with our DJ to set the vibe at each step of the event.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations
Planner, photographer, florist, venue. They were highly organized, professional, and energetic throughout the event. They really made it seem like we didn’t have to do anything – they just made it happen.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Take advantage of the natural beauty of the area. It’s lucky to have the beach and great venues so close by.
