Kate and Garrett
“The goal for our wedding’s theme was to provide a whimsical and springtime essence, which we felt would be appropriate for the time of year. The most important aspect for us was keeping the feeling of the wedding personal, close-knit, and intimate among friends and family.
Our colors were sage, eucalyptus, white, and a blush pink with gold accents. Because we were getting married in March, we wanted our color palette and florals to highlight the complexities of springtime.” —The Bride
Kate and Garrett’s romantic Brooksville wedding was a pastel dream, filled with rustic charm and colorful florals, set in a pristine equestrian setting that paid homage to the bride’s roots. The Florida bride and groom hosted 100 guests at a picturesque Tampa Bay farmhouse for a Spring celebration that prioritized friendship and family.
“Some of our favorite moments were during the reception. Our DJ helped us orchestrate a bouquet-dedication speech to my mother in lieu of a bouquet toss, which turned out to be a very special moment. The venue also helped arrange our private dance at the end of the reception, which was incredibly special,” the bride reminisced. “After the wedding, the venue owner’s grandfather gifted us a hand-painted watercolor of the ceremony tree, which we value so dearly and have displayed on our wall today.”

The Bridal Beauty
Adore Bridal Hair & Makeup
“Adore Bridal Hair & Makeup came highly recommended to us by the venue. Funny enough, Taylor, who did my hair, is one of my dressage students, and her husband is the farrier for my horses! It was so incredibly special to spend the morning having my hair and makeup done by a friend and her amazing team. All of my bridesmaids, as well as the mothers, looked absolutely beautiful. I cannot recommend Adore Bridal enough!”

The Bach Party & Honeymoon
“I chose the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida, for the bachelorette party, where my bridesmaids and I went out to watch the FEI Nations Cup and enjoy local restaurants.
For our honeymoon, we took a Princess cruise through the Caribbean islands. We both love to cruise and enjoy not having to worry about cooking and cleaning while on vacation!”

From The Photographer
“What I loved most about Kate and Garrett’s wedding was how effortlessly their love filled every part of the day. From the wide-open spaces of Legacy Lane Weddings to the home’s beautiful architecture, everything felt intentional and deeply connected to who they are. There was such a genuine sense of emotion not only between the two of them, but also shared among their family and friends. It created this warm, meaningful atmosphere that made documenting their day incredibly inspiring. Every moment felt authentic, and it was such a joy to capture the story as it naturally unfolded.”

The Proposal
“We went on a cruise to the Bahamas, and at one of the ship’s private islands, we found a secluded beach. Garrett set his camera up to take a video and proposed.”

The Venue

Legacy Lane Weddings
“We moved to Brooksville for my horse training business, and ultimately chose Legacy Lane Weddings because we were looking for a unique venue that provided a close-knit and personal experience. We found ourselves in a limbo between not necessarily wanting a total ‘farmhouse/barn style’ wedding, but also wanting something more unique than some of the more traditional locations. We also really valued a venue that offered on-site living accommodations for close family, friends, and members of the wedding party. Legacy Lane was the perfect happy medium for us, allowing us to have a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony with quaint farmhouse undertones that still felt classy and chic.
Legacy Lane’s venue is very charming and a perfect way to pay homage to our love for nature and animals. The most beautiful and unique part of the wedding was the ceremony tree that we were married under, which is a massive grand oak that had fallen during a storm. Nonetheless, it is still alive, provides a beautiful backdrop, and serves as a wonderful symbol of the strength and endurance of love’s roots.
We truly cannot thank Legacy Lane for being so personal and accommodating. With the housing accommodations being on-site, we loved that it felt like a vacation and a wedding all wrapped into one. We arrived on Friday and from there, it was so amazing to be able to walk the property and visit between the bridal suite, the groom’s quarters, and all of the family housing. It was also lovely to wake up on the Saturday of the wedding to a catered breakfast.”

The Photography
Lifelong Photography Studio
“We really valued finding a photographer who had the ability to capture the essence and emotions of the atmosphere, not just one who took particularly crisp photos.
After looking into several photographers, we were very impressed by the work that Lifelong Photography Studio had published and felt that their artistic style really meshed well with our theming. We were incredibly appreciative of Buffy’s attention to detail, as well as how thoroughly she prioritized our experience.”

From The Venue
“Katherine and Garrett’s wedding was truly something special; every detail was thoughtfully curated, creating a soft, romantic, garden-inspired atmosphere that felt both elegant and effortlessly beautiful. From the stunning floral ceremony arch to the draped barn, the inviting dance floor, and the whimsical cake meadow, each element came together seamlessly. Paired with an exceptional vendor team, their day was a perfect reflection of intentional design and timeless charm.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
Total Entertainment did a great job; our DJ had a great set and really kept the party going. Chef Rocco was also amazing and so incredibly accommodating to Kate’s food sensitivities. Ash and Co. did a beyond beautiful job on our cake!
What advice would you give to other Brooksville couples?
It is easy to forget it in the moment, but this day is truly about you, your future spouse, and the celebration of the love that you both share. Choose the colors that make you smile. Choose the officiant who makes you laugh. Choose the dress that makes you feel like a princess. Choose Lola Montez by Volbeat as your reception’s entrance song. Choose the venue that you feel embodies your relationship. But most importantly, choose to surround yourself with the people who love and support you, regardless of these choices.
