Kimberly and Greg’s timeless Brooksville wedding featured a black and white color palette accented with eucalyptus greenery and roses that perfectly accented the grandiose southern venue. The bride and groom were wed in front of an ancient oak tree before joining their guests dancing beneath rustic wood beams and a floral chandelier.

“Our wedding theme was classic and romantic but with some modern touches. We also wanted it to feel intimate and relaxed. We had lawn games during our cocktail hour and 4Rivers BBQ for dinner, a favorite of ours. We wanted something timeless that we could look back at photos and videos 5, 10, 15 years from now and still love!” the bride beamed. “Our colors were black and ivory, with greenery from our flowers and gold accents. I will forever love how black and ivory look together. Plus, I wear those colors all the time. It’s very ‘me’.”

The Palm Harbor couple sought a wedding venue that offered a beautiful setting for their 106 guests and were immediately impressed with the stately entry of the estate at Legacy Lane Weddings. The weekend-long rental also offered ample quality time with their family and wedding party members, and the attentive staff and personalized service were unmatched.

“We wanted a wedding venue that would provide amazing photo opportunities, have areas for both the ceremony and reception at the same location, and be able to accommodate our guest count while still feeling intimate,” Kimberly shared. “Legacy Lane Weddings is gorgeous and has such a grand feel as you’re driving up to the property. We loved having our immediate family and bridal party with us overnight after the rehearsal, allowing us extra time together. Having Amber, our venue coordinator, at every vendor meeting made us feel well-represented. She advocated for us and showed that she was well-invested in the entire process from beginning to end. Marianne and Amber kept us up to date with the décor process and asked our opinion on every detail. From the very start, they asked what our vision was and truly listened.”

The pair incorporated a unique approach to ensure they took photos with each group of guests at the wedding by participating in an interactive photo experience. Their love of music and the groom’s knack for drums dictated the fun song choice, and the result was a memorable experience for everyone, with the photos to prove it!

“We did something called a ‘photo dash’ where we had to make our way to every guest table and take a picture during the reception within the timeframe of just one song. Gregory is a drummer, so we chose a song with a great beat. It was a fun way to get a photo with all of our guests,” the bride gushed.

Kimberly envisioned a natural glam look for her wedding, with makeup that would make her feel like herself only elevated, and fuss-free hair that would last throughout the day. Having experienced the beauty services of Adore Bridal Hair & Makeup firsthand through a modeling gig before her engagement, she knew they would be the ideal choice to trust with her bridal look.

“For my hair, I wanted something soft and romantic. I typically wear it down, but I looked for half-up hairstyles with soft curls. I didn’t want to worry about anything being on my face as I was walking down the aisle. Overall, I wanted to look like me but kicked up a notch. For my makeup, I wanted a soft glam look; something that looked natural but elevated, with subtle shimmer on my eyes and soft liner. When Gregory and I had our first look, he said, ‘This is exactly how I pictured you and hoped you would look!’ We both loved it,” the bride beamed. “Adore Bridal‘s service was incredible. They provided an itinerary a month before my wedding day so we knew who was getting their hair/makeup done and when. They listened to what my vision was and even encouraged me to point out anything I would want differently. They brought their own tables, mirrors, and music; it was just a fun day!”

Two lasting memories will forever stand out to Kimberly when reflecting on her celebration: the first involved a sweet start to the day, and the second involved a funny moment during the dance party that evening.

“Having a bridal breakfast provided by Legacy Lane Weddings while the bridesmaids were getting ready in the bridal estate house was something so, so special. The owner, Marianne, brought us homemade cinnamon rolls and quiche, fruit, bagels, and parfaits. She also sent me a text with a picture of the sunrise that morning and words of encouragement. It was the best start to the day!” the bride reminisced. “Also, my brother-in-law stepped in at the last minute due to a groomsman having a family emergency and needing to leave before the ceremony. He wore a rented suit that wasn’t exactly his size, and he split his pants during the reception. And yes, the moment was captured, and it’s one of our favorite pictures of the night!”

The Proposal:
Gregory proposed at the Fenway Hotel in Dunedin, where we had one of our earlier date nights. I was under the impression we were going to dinner for a friend’s birthday. Instead, he had arranged for our closest friends and family to gather at the rooftop bar, and oversee the entire proposal on the front lawn at sunset! It was awesome.

Where did you host your bachelorette party?
My bridesmaids rented an Airbnb in Safety Harbor for my bachelorette party and planned the entire thing! I was also having a bridal lingerie tea that same weekend. Because one of my bridesmaids doesn’t live locally, I wanted the convenience of having both events fall on the same weekend for less travel.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
Barbados. We stayed at the Royal Barbados Resort by Sandals. We wanted something all-inclusive and tropical, and it was nice having a week of just relaxing after all the planning leading up to our special day.

What were your hair and makeup inspiration?

For my hair, I wanted something soft and romantic. When Gregory and I had our first look, he said, ‘This is exactly how I pictured you and hoped you would look!’ We both loved it.

I met Kelcey and Kassie from Adore Bridal when I attended a bridal showcase and modeled a wedding gown (at Legacy Lane before I was engaged). I had my hair and makeup done by them and was so impressed and pleased with their skills! I knew I wanted them to be my hair and makeup team when it would be my turn.

Adore Bridal‘s service was incredible. They provided an itinerary a month before my wedding day so we knew who was getting their hair/makeup done and when. They listened to what my vision was and even encouraged me to point out anything I would want differently. They brought their own tables, mirrors, and music; it was just a fun day!

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
We have known our photographers for years and knew we wanted them to capture our wedding day like they did for both of our siblings. They are incredible to work with and their attention to detail is like no other. We love all of our photos so much!

Our videographer captured every moment! He also did well wishes/interviews with some of our bridal parties and guests. It was such a fun surprise to watch them because we had no idea!

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Work together and consider each other’s ideas and vision for their wedding day. Establish a budget early on in your planning process and have fun along the way!
