Alexandra and Jacob’s rustic Dade City wedding featured a combination of romantic lace details and flora mixed with natural elements such as farm tables, cross-back chairs, and cascading greenery.
“We incorporated our personalities by having the rustic theme for my husband and still having the elegant flair and putting a little bit of fashion spice with it for me! We chose this particular theme because I thought it went best with the beautiful barn, and both my husband and I are Southern-raised!” Alexandra beamed. “Our colors were burgundy, light pink, baby blue, and dark blue; they all seemed to complement each other really well. My bridesmaids’ dresses were burgundy, and my maid of honor’s dress was baby pink. The guys wore a blue suit with jeans. Overall it just fit the theme really well and looked beautiful!”
The Plant City couple envisioned an outdoor ceremony and barn reception, and immediately upon seeing their venue they knew it was the perfect location for their big day.
“After seeing our venue for the first time we weren’t able to stop thinking about it, and that is when we knew it was our venue! We chose Covington Farm because as soon as we stepped foot onto the property we were blown away! Everything is so beautiful and every little detail you could think of is in the venue!” the bride raved. “Jacob and I could see us getting married there and didn’t have to think twice about it! The service at the venue was amazing; Barbara and her team made sure everything went smoothly and nothing was forgotten.”
Alexandra added her own personal touches, including stationery pieces at the place settings as well as an interactive experience for their youngest guests.
“The wedding was unique because I incorporated little details that weren’t easily noticed. I made my own menus for the guests, and I had a coloring table for younger children,” the bride detailed. “I believe everyone’s wedding is unique because it is about them and their spouse!”
Hiring the right hair and makeup artist team meant finding a skilled company that would enhance the bridal party’s beauty while also being a fun group to spend time with while getting ready the morning of the wedding.
“For the beauty team, I was looking for a group of women who would not only help me feel my best but also provide that experience for my bridesmaids and my family. I wanted a group of women who would jam out to music with us super early, and I found just that in Adore Bridal,” Alexandra gushed. “They did an amazing job with my engagement photos. I felt most comfortable with them and knew that they were the team of ladies I wanted with me on my special day! They were absolutely amazing, from the makeup and hair to having fun with us, everything was so special! They were the best glam squad ever!
Looking back, Alexandra and Jacob attributed the most unforgettable part of the celebration to the special dances they shared with their parents surrounded by friends and family.
“The most memorable moment was probably the daughter/father and son/mother dance,” the bride recalled. “It was such a special moment for the both of us that we won’t forget.”

The Proposal:
Jacob proposed by telling me we were doing family pictures with both of our families. When we arrived “late,” we saw our families lined up taking pictures together. Little did I know when we were walking up to get into the picture that when I turned around I would see Jacob on one knee. It was such a special moment for not only us but for both of our families.
