Gissell and Xavier
Powel Crosley Estate
“We really wanted something that would look timeless in photos. Our wedding was simplistic but elegant. We chose shades of black, white, and off-white. We tried to incorporate a lot of personal elements. We personalized our music, featured our pets Wellie and Petey on our cocktail napkins, and had a University of Maryland Terps sign as part of our bridesmaid bottle service entrance.” -The Bride
Gissell and Xavier’s waterfront Sarasota wedding combined a monochromatic palette of black and white decor with classic neutral flora and romantic candlelight for a chic November celebration. The destination couple exchanged vows surrounded by 138 guests in front of a historic estate wedding venue before dining and dancing the night away in an elegant tented reception.
“Having all our loved ones in one place was the most memorable part of the wedding,” the bride revealed. “We live in Maryland, but many of our family members are located outside the U.S. or in other states. To have that many friends and family members join us to celebrate was unforgettable.”

The Proposal
“We got engaged in Annapolis, Maryland, one of our favorite places to go. I was then surprised with my parents and Xavier’s parents waiting at the first stop of our bar crawl, which we often do when on Main St.”

From The Florist
“Set against one of our favorite wedding venues, Giselle and Xavier‘s choice of classic white and lush green florals felt effortlessly timeless. It was a beautiful reminder that tradition never goes out of style—elegant, intentional, and perfectly reflective of their love story.”
-Danielle Zechmann, Save the Date Florida

From The Planner
“As Gissell and Xavier planned a destination celebration in Sarasota, with most of their guests (and the couple themselves) traveling in, we had the honor of guiding them through every step of the process. Together, we brought their vision to life: a timeless, elevated black-and-white celebration that felt effortlessly classy and truly unforgettable.”
-Ashley Johnson, B Eventful

The Planning
“I looked for someone we could trust and partner well with. We wanted to be very involved, but needed guidance since we are out of state. Working with B Eventful was a perfect fit. Ashley Johnson and her team are amazing!
We chose B Eventful because it fit the working relationship we were looking for. After our first few meetings, I had full trust in Ashley to run the show and knew that she always had our best interest at heart. The day of the wedding, her team was absolutely amazing and so supportive. They really all went above and beyond to support us and make sure we felt as comfortable as possible.”

The Inspiration
“We really wanted something that would look timeless in photos. Our wedding was simplistic but elegant. We chose shades of black, white, and off-white.
We tried to incorporate a lot of personal elements where we could. We personalized our music, featured our pets Wellie and Petey on our cocktail napkins, and had a University of Maryland Terps sign as part of our bridesmaid bottle service entrance.”

The Florals
Save The Date Florida
“Our inspiration was all-white florals with scattered greenery. We wanted a mixture of different florals and textures instead of colors. The flowers from Save The Date Florida were beautiful, and Danielle Zechmann was very easy to work with and collaborate with. She took our vision and made it real.”

B Eventful, Jaclyn Pearson (Bridal Hair & Makeup), and MorganLeah Photo (Photographer). Everyone was such a pleasure to work with and offered so much expertise and guidance to ensure the day went smoothly. Morgan captured every inspiration image we asked for, Jaclyn jumped in to redo my hair after we were caught in a bit of rain, and Ashley made sure the day went perfectly, even while having a sprained ankle.
