Lindsay and Zach
“The design/theme we were going for was elegant and classic, with a touch of coastal. Our colors were mainly white, with touches of silver, pink, and green. We wanted to have some elements that reflected our home state of Florida and our beachfront wedding, but in a tasteful way. We loved the idea of a timeless wedding with lots of white florals and linens, and our vision came to life thanks to our amazing vendors!” -The Bride
Lindsay and Zach’s classic Clearwater Beach wedding welcomed 115 guests to the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach, where their April celebration began on a stunning sixteenth-floor rooftop terrace boasting panoramic 360-degree views of the Gulf and Intracoastal waterways. Their spring-inspired coastal-elegant aesthetic featured timeless white florals, soft pink accents, and a breezy, modern ballroom transformation that perfectly complemented the waterfront scenery. With elevated décor, thoughtful details, and a seamless flow from ceremony to reception, the entire weekend was crafted to provide guests with an exceptional, memorable experience.
“We incorporated our personalities into the wedding by having an amazing high-energy band and a few fun surprises throughout the night. We made custom t-shirts and threw them into the crowd, which was a big hit. We also made sure to include our favorite foods on the menu for the evening, from main courses to late-night snacks!” the bride beamed. “What mattered most, though, was simply being together and fully enjoying the day. We stayed by each other’s side the entire night, which made everything feel even more special. Creating a relaxing, seamless experience—for ourselves and for our guests—was a top priority from the very beginning. That’s why finding a venue where everything could be onsite, from the rehearsal dinner through the end of the wedding day, was so important to us.”

The Bach Party and Honeymoon
“We went on a weekend cruise (Royal Caribbean Utopia of the Seas) for my bachelorette party. It was so much fun, and I loved that it required minimal planning once we initially booked. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and fun, and I’m so lucky to have such amazing friends who helped make it incredible and unforgettable!
We went to St. Kitts and Nevis for our honeymoon. We were looking for something in the Caribbean and found a beautiful Park Hyatt property there that was exactly what we were looking for! It was so relaxing and the perfect start to our marriage.”

The Proposal
“Zach had a plan to pop the question after getting me to go down to the beach to take pictures before a family dinner to celebrate us moving from Atlanta to Ponte Vedra Beach. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a rainy day, so my family helped come up with Plan B. He proposed on the porch at the Cabana Club in Ponte Vedra Beach with the beach in the background. Friends and family were there to celebrate right after, and it was perfect!”

The Venue

Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach
“We currently live in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. We chose to have our wedding in Clearwater Beach because of the beautiful views, the fun atmosphere, and the ease of travel for our guests. We loved that the Tampa airport was so convenient, since most of our guests were coming from out of state. The main things we were looking for were a beautiful ceremony space, on-site accommodations, and the option to have all events on the property, so a resort made sense. Once we decided that, we were really looking for the property’s overall vibe to make sure it was something we and our guests could enjoy.
There were so many venue options in the Tampa/Clearwater/St. Pete area, but the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach stole our hearts after our first visit! Their team made us feel so special and excited for our big day from the first day we met them! They were so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. The Hyatt had everything we were looking for, and the team made the process so easy and fun! We could not have been happier with our choice and wish we could do it all over again! We also had our rehearsal dinner and welcome party at the Hyatt Regency on Friday night before the wedding. It was so much fun and the perfect sunset celebration!”

Finding Wedding Vendors
“I followed Marry Me Tampa Bay on Instagram, and it was really fun to see my vendors being recommended and used by other couples! I also loved seeing other weddings for inspiration and hearing from other brides on advice, recommendations, unpopular opinions, etc.”

The Planning
Coastal Coordinating
“Our main priority for wedding planners was experience with our top venue choices. Beyond that, we were looking for the overall experience, the team’s personality/vibe, and the variety of services offered.
We found Coastal Coordinating because they were preferred vendors at our top two venues. After our initial conversations, we knew they would be amazing. Katy Turchich and her team were absolutely wonderful. We added other services they offered, such as content creation and a photo booth. They helped make our day so smooth and perfect, we’re so grateful!!”

The Photography
“The main thing we were looking for was the style of photography – light, airy, offering both traditional and editorial style photos and someone with extensive experience with our venue.
We chose Lifelong Photography Studio because they were exactly what we were looking for, from experience to style. Also, Lifelong having multiple team members gave us peace of mind in case of an emergency. They also came highly recommended by the planner and the venue. Once we had our engagement shoot with Gabrielle at Lifelong, it reassured our decision! We were so happy with their professionalism and organization of the day, and cohesion with all of our other vendors.”

Most Memorable Moment
“Dancing together, surrounded by our friends and family, was so special, especially when NoFilter brought out the drums for us to play. It was truly so fun and special. We also loved having a few quiet minutes together on the beach at sunset during cocktail hour. It felt like a dream!”

The Design
“The design/theme we were going for was elegant and classic, with a touch of coastal. Our colors were mainly white, with touches of silver, pink, and green.
We wanted to have some elements that reflected our home state of Florida and our beachfront wedding, but in a tasteful way. We loved the idea of a timeless wedding with lots of white florals and linens, and our vision came to life thanks to our amazing vendors!”

The Rentals

Gabro Event Services
“We rented our white dance floor, white draping, and feasting tables from Gabro Event Services.
The rentals really helped elevate the space and align it with our vision for the ballroom. The draping brought an extra level of elegance. Adding the feasting tables to mix up the table shapes was visually appealing and ensured our guests could fit comfortably.”

The Details
“We infused our personalities into the wedding in every way we could—from the energy, to the food, to the little surprises woven throughout the night. An amazing high-energy band set the tone from the start, and we added a few unexpected moments that felt very “us,” like tossing custom t-shirts into the crowd, which turned out to be a huge hit. Even our menu reflected who we are, featuring all our favorite foods, from the main courses to the late-night snacks. We also curated welcome boxes filled with nods to things we love, including Coca-Cola in glass bottles, Skyline Chili Oyster Crackers from Zach’s hometown of Cincinnati, and Byrd’s Key Lime Cooler Cookies.
Ultimately, the focus we placed on guest experience is what made our wedding truly unique. The lively band, the t-shirt surprises, the thoughtful welcome boxes, and all the intentional details came together to create a day that felt personal, joyful, and unforgettable for everyone.”
From the Planner:
“Lindsay and Zach’s love is inspiring and true (Maybe that is why I love every aspect of their wedding so much more)! They both had an amazing bond with the entire wedding party and all family members. With this, they were very intentional in making the event special for everyone. From the personalized welcome bags for the guests, the welcome party for everyone the night before with views of all of Clearwater Beach, and a handwritten note from the couple to every guest that included their seating chart on the wedding day.
For their grand entrance into the ballroom, they had guests create a tunnel as they entered, then surround the dance floor. It really got the evening off to the right start.
The drums’ appearance with the band No Filter Band was amazing and such a surprise for everyone. They also passed out so many great LED dance party items, making the crowd even more engaged. The White LED Lais were a hit for sure.
Also, they had the cutest and most special private last dance, where we used their grand exit streams at the end to surprise them as well. They then greeted their guests in the grand hallway with a streamer toss grand exit.” -Katy Martin, Coastal Coordinating:

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
We are so grateful for all of our vendors, and they were all amazing! We were super impressed with our cake from Publix; the detail and quality were so amazing for the price. No Filter Band really made our wedding unforgettable, and our guests are still talking about it!!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
It goes by so fast; enjoy all the ups and downs of wedding planning and savor every moment of the wedding day!
Trust your vendors and try to have fun and relax. If there’s something important to you, make sure you tell your vendors. Also, it’s way more expensive than you think, so start with a smaller budget!
