Faith and Brandon
TradeWinds Resort
“Our colors were a classic champagne and black combo. You always see a lot of bright colors and white chairs for a beach wedding. I wanted things to look more formal and classic, even though we were on the beach. The black chairs and black arbor with all white florals were a dream come true.” -The Bride
Faith and Brandon’s classic St. Pete Beach wedding was an enchanting weekend, as they transformed the TradeWinds Resort into a lively hub for their family and friends. Breaking away from typical tropical themes, their celebration embraced a sophisticated black, white, and champagne color palette, which perfectly balanced the joy and fun of a beach resort with an elevated, modern feel.
“Our colors were a classic champagne and black combo. You always see a lot of bright colors and white chairs for a beach wedding. I wanted things to look more formal and classic, even though we were on the beach,” the bride shared. “The black chairs and black arbor with all white florals were a dream come true.”
The Seminole couple selected a beachfront St. Pete Beach wedding venue that they frequented on date nights. To deliver a memorable wedding weekend for their 200 guests, Faith and Brandon chose an expansive 41-acre resort, offering diverse dining, entertainment, and premium amenities all on-site. With a waterfront March ceremony followed by an elegant tented reception, the immersive destination wedding experience allowed everyone to gather and celebrate for more than just one night.
“We would go to St. Pete and the Rum Fish Bar & Grill at the TradeWinds Resort all the time for dinner. We loved the destination wedding feel of the TradeWinds, even though it was only 10 minutes from our house; it was the perfect fit,” the bride beamed. “The TradeWinds was the perfect fit for us because it made us feel like we were away at a destination resort, but we were only 10 minutes from home. Everything was absolutely wonderful, from food to accommodations, and the service was top-notch. Hannah Poff, the Catering Sales Manager, made dreams come true. She was the absolute best to work with!”
The reception took place in a beautifully draped tent just steps from the beach, offering an elegant setting that matched the couple’s classic aesthetic. The ceiling was lined with soft white fabric, while the tables were dressed in white linens complemented by gold Chiavari chairs, creating a clean, timeless look. Tall white floral centerpieces added a polished feel, while the deep blue and sand-toned carpet subtly reflected the waterfront location. With its flowing drapes, classic décor, and carefully considered details, the tented space provided a sophisticated atmosphere that felt naturally at home on the beach.
After a serendipitous referral from her coworker, the bride discovered Iyrus Weddings, the ultimate wedding photography and videography team. Their expertise offered the perfect balance of artistic portraits and candid moments, along with fine art photography and cinematography, which beautifully memorialized the couple’s union.
“I work with the owner’s sister, and she had mentioned to me that her brother owns this company. I looked Will DeCosta and his team and immediately was blown away by their work. They are the best photo and video team around, truly,” Faith raved. “I could not have asked for a more professional and creative team that made sure I had all the photos and videos I wanted.”
To personalize their wedding, Faith and Brandon included their beloved pup in the ceremony, along with celebratory shots for every guest and a cigar bar. For lasting memories, they also offered guests both a traditional Bible for signatures and an audio guestbook for personalized voice messages.
“We had our sweet doggo, Roxy, incorporated in the wedding as our ring bearer. We also had shots ready for all our guests to take to their seats with them to take our first shot as Mr. & Mrs. Jenne together, and we had a cigar bar that all our guests loved,” the bride detailed. “All of these are features that paint a picture of our life and our friends and family.”
Looking back at the most memorable moment of the day, the newlyweds shared that the passion the wedding party put into the reception entrances truly stood out.
“The wedding party’s choreographed entrance to Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! was so fun and our guests loved it,” the bride reminisced. “Shout out to Sergio Mejia for arranging the whole thing, from the moves to the music to the staging!”

The Proposal:
I was surprised by a rooftop proposal in NYC on a weekend I thought I would just be visiting my brother. My husband flew in our family and friends for a whole weekend vacation in NYC and rented out the rooftop space for the proposal. We had a photographer and dinner booked for after as well. It was absolutely perfect!
