Great Gatsby Inspired Clearwater Wedding | Ruth Eckerd Hall Wedding
Danielle and Ryan’s Clearwater wedding featured Great Gatsby inspired decor and a roaring 20’s vintage theme with a black, white, silver and oasis color palette.
“It seemed like a great theme to incorporate, especially for our wedding guests!” Danielle gushed. “We used black as our bridal party color, as well as to create elegance and class. Our maid of honor and best man wore oasis so they would standout amongst our huge bridal party.”

The Clearwater couple knew that their wedding day would not be complete without involving their pet Hanley. Realizing that their special day would be hectic, the bride and groom hired the Fairy Tail Pet Care team to ensure Hanley received the same wedding VIP treatment.
“Hanley is our fur-baby, and we couldn’t imagine our day without him. He brings so much joy to us and everyone that meets him that we had to make him a part of this big day. He makes our family complete!” Danielle gushed “Ilana and Kelly of Fairy Tail were absolutely fabulous from our first visit to even after our wedding was over. It was completely clear that they love their job, love the animals they work with as if they are their own, and are beyond qualified in caring for your pet whether it’s your wedding day, potty visits, or overnights!”

With one of the largest bridal parties we have seen, the couple wanted their family and friends to know that they all played a big role in their wedding day.
“Our wedding party was absolutely fabulous in every way possible! We had 26 people in our wedding party, including a junior bridesmaid, ring bearer and flower girl! Everyone took care of one another and made sure Ryan and I were taken care of the whole day,” the bride shared. “Their reception entrances were all uniquely personalized, speeches were nothing short of amazing and after our first dance they gathered around us as if in a huddle ready for the big game!”
Looking back, the bride reminisced about the defining moments of her wedding day.
“It is so true what they say about the day of your wedding going by in the blink of an eye, but there are definitely moments that stand out. First looks with both my father and my husband were perfectly orchestrated; it was great to see their reactions. Ryan and I put a special twist on the garter retrieval making sure to incorporate a little surprise and personality. And of course we and our guests cannot forget that we got married at nighttime on the windiest and coldest day of the year; it has been the coldest day in 2017 thus far in Florida!” Danielle reminisced.
The Proposal:
It was the weekend of University of Tampa’s Spring 2015 commencement ceremony. Ryan had arranged a graduation dinner, or so I thought, for Saturday evening with family and friends at my favorite restaurant, Seasons 52. We ordered drinks and dinner and Ryan ordered a bottle of champagne to toast to graduation. He delivered a heartfelt speech about our lives the last few years of grad school, how much we appreciated everyone’s support and how thankful we were for each other and those present. However, to my surprise, he was not finished with his speeches. He continued on with words I can barely remember, dropped to one knee, and asked me to be his wife. I couldn’t believe it…what a great weekend!
Why did you choose to incorporate your pet into your wedding?

Ilana and Kelly, the owners of Fairy Tail Pet Care, were absolutely fabulous from our first visit to even after our wedding was over. It was completely clear that they love their job, love the animals they work with as if they are their own and are beyond qualified in caring for your pet whether it’s your wedding day, potty visits, or overnights!
How would you describe your theme?
We did Great Gatsby inspired decor. We like the classic/vintage look and fun of the roaring 20’s. It seemed like a great theme to incorporate, especially for our wedding guests!
What were your colors?
Black, white, silver, and oasis. We used black as our bridal party color for ease for our friends, as well as create elegance and class. Our maid of honor and best man wore oasis so they would standout among our huge bridal party.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Remember that your venue is a blank slate that you fill with your own personal touches. Remember what is most important to you and your fiancee during the planning process while trying to be respectful of your families and their opinions because they will have some. As far as the day of goes, whatever is going to be will be that day, so don’t sweat it. At some point take a moment together as husband and wife to pause and reflect on one of the most important days of your lives, because it truly is one of the greatest feelings having everyone that’s important to you in one place celebrating at one of the greatest parties of your lives!
