Downtown Tampa Wedding | The Tampa Club Wedding
Kaeley and Mike’s romantic downtown Tampa wedding featured a modern ballroom wedding reception with a classic theme and a pop of pink and purple color throughout the decor.
“It was really important for me to think of a wedding as the beginning of a new chapter,” the bride explained.
Searching for a wow factor for their 150 guests, the bride and groom chose downtown Tampa wedding venue The Tampa Club.
“When we were looking for a reception venue we really had three deciding factors: we wanted it to be a space that had a presence and not just four walls, it needed to be large enough to fit up to 150 guests and we needed to stick to a budget,” Kaeley shared. “From the second we walked into The Tampa Club, we knew that it was our venue. The views are phenomenal! It was awesome to be able to see that much of Tampa in those floor to ceiling windows.”
The bride share that the most important elements of her wedding day were marrying her groom and celebrating with friends and family.
“I was so excited to become Mike’s wife and for him to become my husband that the details were just secondary. The ceremony will always be the most memorable; I just remember walking down the aisle and seeing all of these people who had touched our lives, and then meeting Mike at the alter as Kaeley Hamilton, and leaving as his wife. Nothing will top that,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
We got engaged in Washington D.C. It was a great day; we spent the whole time adventuring the national monuments and going in and out of museums. We had dinner at a wine bar named Sonoma, and afterwards Mike wanted to walk around the city one more time. I thought he was crazy, but when we got right in between the Washington Monument and the White House, he proposed. I cried and finally got the word, “Yes,” out. Once we finally headed back to our hotel, we stopped at the W Hotel for a celebratory glass of champagne. The staff was so kind and offered us a complimentary drink with champagne, St. Germain Elderflower, and an orange twist, which ended up being our signature drink at the wedding! It was a magical day!
How would you describe your theme?
It was really important for me to think of a wedding as the beginning of a new chapter. From what I have learned from loved ones, marriage is beautiful and challenging. It was really important to me to have both of our support systems there and for everyone to feel the love that they have provided to us to help us prepare for the next step in our relationship.
What were your colors?
I wanted something as classic as possible. The guys had such a classic look, with black and white traditional tuxedos. We chose grey bridesmaid’s dresses, because it was such a flattering color and allowed me flexibility on the colors of the flowers.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
When we were looking for a reception venue we really had three deciding factors: we wanted it to be a space that had a presence and not just four walls, it to be large enough to fit up to 150 guests and we needed to stick to a budget.
From the second we walked into The Tampa Club , we knew that it was our venue. The views are phenomenal! It was awesome to be able to see that much of Tampa in those floor to ceiling windows. Additionally, the space just had a classy vibe from the second you got onto the elevators.
From the first meeting we had with The Tampa Club staff, they were knowledgeable, friendly, flexible and professional. Both Brittany and Madison were amazing to work with. They were willing to answer all of the questions I had, and even helped with the questions I didn’t know I needed to know to ask. Without their help, I would probably not have been as prepared as I was. The lead bartender, Justin, was also amazing; they special ordered in certain items for the wedding, and it was just beyond kind.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Remember why you want to get married. Make a list of what parts of the day matter most to you and focus on those, other than that delegate. Remember, this is a celebration of the commitment you are making, and the help everyone has provided you to be ready for this next phase in your life.
