The silver mirrored bar and white lounge furniture were the perfect backdrop for the 5-tier gold wedding cake.

“When we were determining the concept we wanted to do something that was grand and elegant, but most importantly, that contrasted the urban atmosphere of NOVA 535,” Staci explained. “We wanted to take the grandeur of the time – heavy fabrics, ornate designs and extravagance, and put it into modern time.”

“The pool at the venue reminded me of the Playboy Mansion. I think of Hugh Hefner from the 1950’s, that classic look: straight suit, bow tie, the hair, the charm and sophistication with a little sexy,” Lisa explained. “Southern Plantation Oasis is a great location with a lot of opportunities to be eclectic, from the pool to the grounds to the horses. You can do so much with a venue that has this much versatility.”

“I draw inspiration from many sources and came across a dark bottle of pinot noir with a deep purple label and gold foil lettering,” Meagan Phillips, owner of Southern Glam Weddings and Events explained. “Thinking of the rich dark red wine inside, I pieced all the colors together for the palette. Who knew a trip down the wine aisle could be so inspirational?”

“We took note from the beautiful ballroom refresh which includes gray and white tones. The myth or stigma that a country club wedding is basic was something we wanted to prove wrong,” Ashley explained. “The greenery of the golf course adorned with a sweet wooden bridge along with the architecture of the white column breezeway gives the venue a southern plantation feel.”
The dramatic reception draping and floral centerpieces set a romantic tone, while the white French country chairs added a soft and elegant feel.

Our colors were mainly black and white, followed by gold and green from the tropical plants with pops of color.
