When there is a Tampa Bay wedding venue with a stunning outdoor setting, we just have to show it off! The Marry Me Tampa Bay editorial staff partnered with Southern Plantation Oasis and Exquisite Events to create this vibrant pink and purple wedding styled shoot.
Located just north of Tampa in Lutz, Southern Plantation Oasis, the area’s newest southern style venue, is surrounded by equestrian pastures and a natural protected wet land.
Creating a colorful and elegant design was the creative Tampa Bay wedding planning design team at Exquisite Events, led by Lisa Mohyla. Inspired by the charm of the 1950’s and the outdoor wedding venue, Lisa transformed the plantation into an eclectic and vibrant wedding.
“The pool at Southern Plantation Oasis reminded me of the Playboy Mansion. I think of Hugh Hefner from the 1950’s, that classic look: straight suit, bow tie, the hair, the charm and sophistication with a little sexy,” Lisa explained. “Southern Plantation Oasis is a great location with a lot of opportunities to be eclectic, from the pool to the grounds to the horses. You can do so much with a venue that has this much versatility.”
Behind the lens and capturing the vibrant color palette of navy, purple and an array of hot pinks and red was Tampa wedding photographer Caroline & Evan Photography and Tampa wedding videographer Imagery Wedding Films.
The bold color palette is one that we never tire of and love how each wedding pro was able to incorporate it throughout the design with the stunning ceremony florals and reception decor by Northside Florist, bright linens from Over the Top Rental Linens, tabletop decor and chairs by A Chair Affair and rentals from Coast to Coast Event Rentals.
The vibrant wedding theme extended into the desserts with a gold sequined adorned wedding cake from A Piece of Cake complemented the pink, navy and gold glitter custom cake pops created by Sweetly Dipped Confections.
No wedding is complete without the perfect attire for the bride, groom and the wedding party. The Bride Tampa outfitted the bride in a sultry Daalarna Couture illusion lace gown and floor length veil, which was showcased with a stunning sleek up-do and bold lip color by Tampa wedding hair and makeup artist Michele Renee the Studio.

Adding a touch of uniqueness and a throwback to the retro style, Truly Forever Bridal provided the all white bridesmaids dresses, including a tea length ivory gown with feather detail that brought the look together. The menswear from Sacino’s added to the sophisticated look with a touch of color to complete the bridal party package.

How would you describe your theme?

What were your colors?
Vibrant, I wanted something to stand out, and I feel the navy, purple, hot pinks and reds stand the test of time. It’s a color combination that you never get tired of looking at.
