Elegant Outdoor Florida Resort Styled Shoot
“Our vision was an elevated coastal feel. We created the design around soft coastal blues, crisp whites, and natural ivory tones with touches of sand and warm neutrals. Blue was the obvious choice because it reflects the overall vibe of the hotel and pond surrounding the property, but we wanted it to feel sophisticated rather than nautical. The palette kept everything light, romantic, and elegant while allowing the natural beauty of the venue to shine.”
—Katie Conner, Owner and Lead Wedding Planner, Seashine Weddings and Events
Channeling the watery hues of the surrounding bay, this waterfront Tampa Bay wedding styled shoot combined neutral flora with soft blue accents, oyster-inspired details, and elevated decor for an elegant celebration. The renowned Florida resort’s pristine lawn created an idyllic coastal setting.
“We wanted the overall design to feel timeless rather than trend-driven,” Katie Conner, Owner and Lead Wedding Planner, Seashine Weddings and Events, detailed. “Fresh details like personalized stationery, organic florals around the space, and a softer approach to coastal design were balanced with classic elements like an elegant tablescape, romantic florals, and a refined color palette. The result was a look that feels elevated and unique while still being timeless.”

Recreating This Look
“For the couple who loves thoughtful details, great food, and an elevated guest experience, The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay knows how to do it right. The space is perfect for couples who are drawn to coastal settings but want something more intimate and refined than a traditional Florida beach wedding. The setting is ideal for those who appreciate intentional design, beautiful scenery, and creating a celebration that feels relaxed, luxurious, and uniquely personal.
Stay intentional with the details. Coastal design doesn’t have to mean anchors or seashells everywhere. Instead, focus on natural textures, elevated materials, soft color palettes, and meaningful elements that reflect the location and the couple. Incorporating fresh oysters during cocktail hour, organic floral arrangements, and layered tablescapes helps create a sophisticated coastal atmosphere that feels authentic rather than themed.”

The Floral Design

La Maison des Fleurs
“My favorite element of this shoot was the floral design done by the fabulous team at La Maison des Fleurs. The florals were what brought the entire vision together and helped transform the space.
From the shell-inspired vases on the tables to the large floral baskets used throughout the ceremony design, each arrangement added texture, dimension, and a sense of romance while still feeling natural and timeless. The florals complemented the outdoor setting beautifully and helped create the elevated, coastal-inspired atmosphere we envisioned from the beginning.”

From The Florist
“One thing we especially loved about the direction of this styled shoot is that these pieces don’t feel like cookie-cutter wedding designs. They have a distinct signature look—fresh, coastal, organic, and quietly luxurious. We feel this style is becoming highly recognizable as a form of coastal relaxed elegance, which aligns beautifully with this venue.”

The Planning
Seashine Weddings & Events
“One of the things I love most about wedding design is creating a vision that feels unique to each couple and thoughtfully connected to the setting around them. Every detail, from the overall aesthetic to the smaller design elements, was chosen with the guest experience and the feeling of the day in mind.
We focused on creating a design that felt timeless rather than trend-driven. The classic foundation of soft blue tones, elegant florals, and refined details was complemented by unique touches that made the design feel fresh and personal. Our goal was to create inspiration that feels beautiful and elevated, while still showing couples that their wedding can be a true reflection of their own story and style.”

The Venue

Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay
“The new lawn space at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay was truly the inspiration behind the entire shoot. We wanted to showcase how the space could be transformed into an intimate, elegant wedding setting and highlight its potential for couples looking for an outdoor celebration. We loved the idea of creating something that felt elevated and coastal-inspired while still being true to the natural surroundings of the property.
The pond, greenery, and connection to Oystercatchers restaurant on site helped guide the design, inspiring the soft blue tones, oyster details, and organic textures throughout the shoot. The goal was to create a look that felt romantic, timeless, and like a natural extension of the venue itself. The natural surroundings, greenery, and pond created the perfect backdrop for a design that felt romantic, classic, and connected to the outdoors.
