Embracing the brightness and warmth associated with summer, this Madeira Beach wedding inspiration shoot featured vibrant shades of pink, bountiful balloon décor, and even a playful bounce house!
“Our theme was summer love. Feeling a tug towards summer weather and a light-hearted way of life, we wanted something summery to reflect that vibe,” Jaimi Weatherspoon, planner and owner of I Choose You Events shared. “Our colors were turquoise, fuchsia, and white. We wanted colors that were different and playful, colors that screamed personality yet could be used in a classy way.”
An abundance of florals in a spectrum of pink hues appeared throughout the celebration, from the paper stationery to the centerpieces. The floral motif that repeated throughout the invitation suite created and hand-illustrated by Sadgebrush Designs set the tone for the reception, paying homage to the sky blue table linens and colorful arrangements that would grace the space.
“Our inspiration for the invitations stemmed from a light summery feel,” Sadge King of Sadgebrush Designs detailed. “We focused on the bright pink florals by making them the center of the design. Using these pops of color throughout the invitation suite and other paper goods like menus helped create a more cohesive look. These invitations reflect a fun, summer vibe that can be paired with Florida citrus or tropical greenery. The addition of the turquoise background created contrast allowing the pink hues to stand out. The bold envelope liner was a fun element that ended up being my favorite item.”
The flexible wedding spaces at The West Events was ideal for the variety of events, offering indoor and outdoor options to create a natural flow for attendees.
“The West Events is such an open space that you really can do anything with,” Jamie beamed. “We wanted to show that this space is very versatile, not to mention that the tropical courtyard couldn’t have been any more perfect for a summery-themed wedding!”
To keep the whimsical celebration an elegant affair, the planner added white stoneware plates, gold-rimmed goblets, and white Chiavari chairs from Gabro Event Services.
“I loved the white décor elements; we used those to tone down the bright colors, and to add a touch of class,” the planner revealed. “I loved the florals; I really did obsess about the pops of colors.
Guests enjoyed several interactive elements, including a grazing display of cheese and charcuterie, a champagne hedge wall, and a bounce house for fun photos. The goal was to create a wedding style that entertained everyone and exuded a fun, joyful energy.
“Our inspiration for this shoot was more of a vibe. We wanted our guests to have a feeling, a feeling like they were a part of it, feeling happy and carefree,” the planner beamed. “The vendors were a huge part of bringing together our vibe. So every vendor we chose, we chose because we believed their energy would match.”
This sunny inspiration motivates couples to throw caution to the wind and incorporate elements that speak to their preferences without focusing on what is traditional, common, or formal.
“Our goal with this styled shoot was to show couples that they can have fun and do things however they want to show their personality and style, and that little details do matter. Essentially, in this wedding era, you can do YOU!” Jami assured. “My favorite elements were the bouncy house! What a way to bring out the best in a person, young or old, everyone had fun!”
