Marissa and Eithan
Venue 650
“Eithan and I are both Mexican, and we dreamed of a classy Mexican/Hacienda vibe that would honor our culture while sharing it with our loved ones. We filled our day with vibrant colors, especially blue, to capture the bright and joyful spirit of our traditions.” -The Bride
Marissa and Eithan’s vibrant Winter Haven wedding welcomed 250 loved ones for a joy-filled celebration that beautifully wove in their Mexican culture. Following a heartfelt ceremony, guests mingled during cocktail hour before an evening of lively music, traditional dances, and unforgettable moments. From start to finish, the celebration was filled with love, energy, and cherished memories.
“Eithan and I are both Mexican, and we dreamed of a classy Mexican/Hacienda vibe that would honor our culture while sharing it with our loved ones. We filled our day with vibrant colors, especially blue, to capture the bright and joyful spirit of our traditions. The simplicity and colors really represent my husband and me,” the bride detailed. “We really wanted our wedding to be colorful, as our culture is vibrant and full of color. What made my wedding unique was the ability to include my culture, with the help of vendors, into my wedding. The pottery was specifically ordered and handmade in Mexico. Those items were carefully shipped to us for our wedding.”

The Proposal
“Eithan and I went on a wine date in Clermont, and then went to visit a sunflower field. In the middle of beautiful, tall sunflowers, he proposed. It was very beautiful and emotional.”

The Photography
Mary Anna Photography
“I wanted my photographer to capture candid moments of the party, family, and love we all have.
Mary Anna Photography really understood what I was looking for and helped show me how to cast it best. From the engagement shoot to the wedding day, she and her husband were patient and continuously ensured the pictures captured were what we envisioned.”

The Honeymoon and Bach Parties

“Eithan and I went to Greece for our honeymoon. We chose this location because of the weather, the water, the wine tastings, and we love traveling abroad.
We hosted a joint bachelorette wedding in Cancun, Mexico. My bridesmaid and his groomsmen all joined us for a weekend in Mexico, where we did fun activities together and celebrated our love with the closest friends we have.”

The Design & Inspo
“Eithan and I are both Mexican, and we dreamed of a classy Mexican/Hacienda vibe that would honor our culture while sharing it with our loved ones. We filled our day with vibrant colors, especially blue, to capture the bright and joyful spirit of our traditions. The simplicity and colors, I feel, really represent my husband and me. We really wanted our wedding to be colorful, as our culture is vibrant and full of color. Our wedding was simple in the sense that we kept things moving along, allowing us to enjoy the company of our guests and the work we put into the wedding.
What made my wedding unique was the ability to include my culture, with the help of vendors, into my wedding. The pottery was specifically ordered and handmade in Mexico. Those items were carefully shipped to us for our wedding.”

Most Memorable Moment

“The most memorable moments of my wedding were the ‘Vivora de la Mar,’ a traditional custom in Mexican weddings. There were two other dances my family did around my husband and me, one represented the gift that we got as newlyweds, and another represented the ability to have many children.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
The florist really exceeded my expectations. I only sent her inspiration pictures and let her pick the flowers, including my bouquet. Everyone loved the arrangements at my wedding, and I didn’t even pick them. My only request to the florist was to include a piece of my grandmother’s skirt around the bouquet, which she did perfectly.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Weddings are so overwhelming. However, the fun part is really enjoying the moment with family and friends who are there to support and celebrate your love.
