Jackie and Zack’s downtown Tampa wedding featured a modern vintage glam theme with a tropical flair and a color palette of blush pink, black, white and shades of green.
“I have never been a very traditional person, and I think my wedding theme encompassed an idea of following your heart, and it was beautiful,” the bride beamed. “I chose our colors because of my wedding dress. Once I found it, the other colors just made sense.”
The Tampa couple chose to have their wedding locally, even though the bride is originally from West Virginia. Knowing that Tampa Bay area makes a perfect vacation spot for wedding guests, Jackie and Zack wanted to guarantee that everyone had a great experience from beginning to end. Bringing their wedding vision to life was Tampa Bay wedding planner Special Moments Event Planning.
“I wanted a planner who would help shape my vision. It was very hard for me to imagine what I wanted because it was so different,” Jackie explained. “I needed someone to bring it to life, and that is exactly what Special Moments did. They were always reassuring and determined to make my day special. Their service was impeccable, and I would recommend them to everyone.”

A priority for the couple was the atmosphere and the energy at the wedding itself. Ensuring that their guests could feel the love, let loose and be themselves, they hired Tampa Bay wedding photographer Lifelong Photography Studio to capture all of the exciting memories.
“I’m a photographer, so I was looking for someone who was unique and who I felt would really capture our personality in the photos,” the bride shared. “After meeting Buffy I felt she would be able to capture exactly what my fiancé and I were looking for. She went above and beyond for our wedding day. I thought Lifelong Studios did an exceptional job!”

Looking back on her wedding day, the most cherished experience Jackie recalls was the couple’s first dance.
“Our first dance was the most memorable moment. It was just surreal knowing that we were husband and wife and that so many loved ones surrounded us,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
It was Easter weekend, and I had flew down from Tennessee. Zack and I went out to dinner at the Epicurean. He had just gotten his job with the Bucs, and he “said” we were meeting friends from his new job. Little did I know he was proposing! When we arrived, he mentioned “the friends” were running late and would just meet us at the rooftop bar. It sounded believable. We had normal conversation at dinner and then the waiter asked if we wanted desert and of course, I said yes. The waiter brought out a sampler, and then I noticed he also had a smaller serving tray that was covered. He explained that this was the Epicurean’s most popular desert. Zack was thinking I would open it first, but little did he know I prefer saving the best for last, so he had to open it. My ring was there, and Zack proceeded to ask me to marry him. I was so happy. It was truly an amazing night!
